Will never return to this casino, by far was the worst first casino experience ever. To start off the floor bartender Jennifer was by far the snootiest person I have ever met! My family ordered a drink for me, she came to bring the drinks and handed me another cocktail when I already had one in my hand. We need up having 4 drinks when we needed 3, after she handed me the second drink she realized it was illegal to provide a second alcoholic beverage when one is already in hand. She continued to repeat “I need one drink back” over and over again while I was trying to figure which went where to give her the proper drink back. She snatched the drink out of our hands and walked away whipping her hair and walking away with attitude beyond belief. I then walked to the bar to speak with someone about this incident and Jennifer was at the bar while I was taking to another bartender about the situation, she walked up and in a sarcastic voice told me she would be happy to grab a manager. When the manager Dominik came out all he had to say was that’s the law and she was acting accordingly. I tried to explain the attitude and disrespect she showed to my mom, dad, and I. He just smirked while looking at the female bartender. Needless to say nothing was acted upon and they blamed ME the customer that comes to spend all my money here. If you like to go to a casino to drink and have fun, I would stay far away from this floor as their staff is rude and nasty. Will never return to this location, might as well go to anothe Ameristar location cause this is a waste of a trip. Unless you like servers harassing you, then this is the place to play!

I walked through this casino when driving by. I had to see it I had no idea that there was casinos in Colorado. It was absolutely amazing. I was able to talk to several people that worked here and they were all super nice and helpful. Definitely thinking of planning a trip or I can come and stay at this hotel.

Ameristar was a wonderful place to stay the night. The gambling was great as was the food and drinks. The only thing that could have made it better was if the bar had been open at the pool. I'll definitely be back for more relaxation and fun!

We enjoyed our stay at the Ameristar Casino in Black Hawk, Co. When we first arrived we pulled in the Valet area. Needed a cart for our luggage. Valet called for Bell office, after waiting a few minutes, we finally gave up and carried our own luggage in. You have a long walk to the Hotel lobby. There at the Hotel lobby, staff was very friendly. Our room was awesome with a beautiful view. The one thing that I did find was the coffee pot was not cleaned. Still had the used coffee filter in it, and the pot was dirty. The Buffet was just unbelievable, staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was just as awesome. They could loosen the machine's. Put a hundred in a penny machine and expect to get a bonus round at least once is not too much to ask, I don't think. They would of received 5 stars if it wasn't for the coffee pot, and the bell hop wait when we first arrived. (And the tight machines)

Went to the Ara spa for the day. Enjoyed a couple's massage and the spa amenities. Used the rooftop pool and hot tub and then the gender separate spa spaces. These had a hot tub, dry sauna, steam room, multiple head shower, and some toiletries. There was even fruit water and tea. Great place to go for the day and relax.

Stopped at Ameristar on our way through the mountains, thought it would be fun to visit a casino so we went to Ameristar. We did some light gambling and ate at the grill. Burger was very tasty as were the fries. I was a fan of the serve yourself soda/coffee. Had a great time overall and really liked the smoke-free casino.

Stayed here one night and lost $200. Had a good time anyway. The room was roomy and comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a decent smiling patio next to the Starbucks since you can't smoke inside. I played craps and the dealers were fun and nice. It's not Vegas but it will do in a pinch.

Great Staff, Service and Executive Hosts! Drinks water and wine are coming much too anymore compared to years past. Winnings were awesome in 2017! Love all the contests. Keep up the great work keeping us on our toes!

The hotel is great. They have 2 hot tubs one inside, one outside. They have a nice pool (the whole pool is 4 feet deep). The rooms are nice and clean, we love the shower/tub split in the room you can take a shower while someone takes a bath. The only complaint is fireside restaurant, they were good but cleanliness could have been better.

Incredible attention to detail here! The staff was VERY friendly, and the environment had the perfect balance of lighting, and atmosphere. Do yourself and any guests a favor and ask for a room on the higher floors -- the view is surreal! The rooftop pool is inside a glass building so your protected from the elements -- however, if you feel like braving the icy cold during the winter and spring months the jacuzzi is uncovered outside and feels awesome after a long day of mountain activities.
