Acme Oyster House

Oysters are fabulous !! They do have good po-boys and other menu items. Service was quick. It's a loud family friendly place. It is very crowded. The service at the bar was not as good as the table service. There is usually a line outside the door during lunch and dinner times. Try to go at off hours. It's really good food !

Acme Oyster House

Some of the best oysters I have had. It was pricey ($20 for a dozen) but it’s definitely a must try. I also got the platter which has gumbo, jambalaya, sausage and beans and that was a good taste of NOLA specialties and although it was good, I wouldn’t order again. Acme is a bit pricey and the line was across the block when I went. It took maybe 30 minutes in line but the oysters were definitely worth it. Waitresses were very nice, always checked up on me. Great place overall, cons: wait and price

Acme Oyster House

Got there around 5 pm. There was about a 15 minute wait. Great service. Waiter was excellent. It was very reasonably priced. I'm not an oyster fan, so tried the trio of Creole food. It was good but not great. Would still definitely recommend eating here.

Acme Oyster House

The best grilled oyster I’ve ever had! Definitely come back again for the seafood if I was going to visit New Orleans. Other seafood such as crawfish, crab are also very good. The table service are fast and professional too. They usually have a long line so be prepared if you come at peak season/holiday.

Acme Oyster House

Today was our second time eating here on this visit. Love the char-grilled oysters. The size of the bread pudding portion has been reduced dramatically but the price is the same. I am not a fan of bread pudding but it is the best I've tasted in New Orleans. Still think the price is high for the small portion. Other than that Acme is a must have when visiting the French Quarter.

Acme Oyster House

It was Oyster Festival, and we had spent our time listening to the Lost Bayou Ramblers in biblical rain rather than sampling the salt-water bivalve mollusc food items that were the stars of the event ... that's alot of words to mean that a) we were hungry and b) we were hungry for oysters, so we c) walked the 183 feet from the Mazarin to join the line at Acme. To our astonishment, we were seated within 5 minutes - at the oyster bar - by the very pleasant (and patient) hostess. The boys behind the counter were very cool and and very busy and they took our order too, taking the time to explain any questions we may have had about the menu. Our food was delivered in intervals by a different friendly face, and all of them took the time to ask about our stay, or where we were from from. The oysters were huge, they were freshly opened in front of us, they were well presented, *and* they were delicious - as advertised, as reviewed, and as expected! I might mention that while we were seated (the oyster bar is up front by the door) the line outside moved quickly and consistently. I can't recommend Acme Oyster House high enough!

Acme Oyster House

I have to say I love this place. The oysters were excellent. The service was the on point. I know it can get a little touristy and crowded but be patient it's worth it. The place was full of life and laughs the day we went. I like the fact that we could see the oysters being cooked in front of everyone. Again, if you don't like large crowds or wait times this might not be for you but if you want to give it a try...you probably won't be disappointed.

Acme Oyster House

Wonderful experience. This place was the best part of my visit. Friendly staff, fantastic cocktails and awesome food. I highly recommend anyone to visit. Special thanks to Terry Lee, Brandon and Leslie (GM). The line was out the door during my visit, but their great attitude and professionalism made up for it.
