The casino floor at the Horseshoe Tunica was very clean. There were lots of fun new games. I may not have won anything, but I had fun. Unfortunately, it is becoming very evident over the years how Harrah’s and all of the other property owners are neglecting certain aspects of their properties. It’s sad to see what’s happening to Tunica & I hope they turn it around. Specific to the Horseshoe: the hotel needs to be clean! The rooms are beautifully done, but dirty. I noticed a big difference with the staff. Not only at the Horseshoe, but also at Gold Strike, Hollywood, & 1st Jackpot. The staff was rude, showed no sign of hospitality, and they made it very evident that they don’t care. This was at the three locations we visited. When I go anywhere, I want to feel welcomed and appreciated. Not too long ago, I got that in Tunica. Unfortunately not during this trip. If you are at the Horseshoe and got a hankering for a cheeseburger, check out the burger bar in the back of the casino. That’s good stuff!

First, the room we had was nice over all and the staff was very friendly, the fact that it is a smoking room without any type of ventilation or fans is absolutely insane. Even though, yes I'm a smoker, the whole point of the smoking room was to not have to walk down every time, the bathroom has zero exhaust. I don't recommend smoking in the rooms unless you want to be suffocated. I understand the tactics of limited channels on the TV, push you out on that floor, but most adults don't need 4 cartoon channels. Never found a couple of places within the building, asked staff and always was told "it's out on the floor", duh I know that but where!? They need a layout map like other hotels to point their customers in the right direction. Our bathroom had zero cold water. All was hot or extremely warm. I ordered room service breakfast, it would have been great had they NOT PUT PIZZA SAUSAGE IN MY OMELET. when you order breakfast sausage that is what you expect not 13$ (plus all those fees) of disgusting Italian sausage. Numerous things that we ordered they were out of. Don't recommend the house salad at the burger bar, it's um a bunch of carrots on some leafs with a teaspoon of dressing. I do suggest putting on bug spray before you get on the floor, mosquitos were absolutely terrible on the floor, get ate up as if you were outside standing in their breeding area. I can't say we would not stay here again, I'm sure we will, we will just better prepared and bring our own food.

I have a daughter and my wife loves to play in casino. I would have waited it better but was told the pool is not open to kids even with adult supervision. Love the days when the casino's we're family friendly. The old grand was a gold star when it came to family's. Having kids quest and pools and many other amenities open to the family such as massage and golf.

We had a great stay at the Horseshoe. We got an email saying our room was ready before the usual 4 pm check in time. Used the mobile check in, it's fast and easy. Room was clean, with a great view of the Mississippi River. We enjoyed our overnight say and will definitely be back.

The room was good and clean. The bed comfortable. But not having a coffee make in my room was very disappointing for me. Yes they gave us one coffee voucher each for each day we had reserved. But I don't want to get dressed and go downstairs. I like to drink coffee and lounge around. And I am an early riser (4am is normal time I get up) Starbucks did not open til 6. So by 6 I had a headache and was ill so we left that morning a day early. Other than that I loved the hotel/casino. Love the idea of adult only pool!!! That is a big plus if we stay there again I will bring my coffee pot.

Had a great time! Room was clean and comfortable, the pillows were amazing as well. My fiancee and I both agreed that the 3 1/2 hrs of sleep (6am-9:30am) were the best recharge ever, wether it was the bed or the pillows, I don't know. We will be back this next weekend. Oh and e won enough money to pay for all of it and brought some home.

If you like casino buffets, this place is pretty good. However, you have to walk through the stinky, smoke filled casino to get to the restaurant. The smoke is enough to ruin a person's appetite. Also, the guy dishing out crab legs is an ass. I followed everyone else in line, but when it was my turn, he yelled at me to put my plate down. He didn't tell anyone else that. Not exactly sure why he singled me out. Needless to say, he had me in tears and ruined my anniversary dinner. I probably won't be back.

Even though it's a bit of a drive to get to Horseshoe and the closest town is like 17 miles away I do like how this casino is nestled in between two other casinos so you don't have to travel anywhere if you get bored and want to bar hop. Staff is always polite and it's nice how they have made it extremely easy to order drinks by touch screen at each and every slot. It's nice not having to spend hours tracking down a server to get one drink that will take another extended period of time to get to me seeing as the server has to do that same search for me usually. Oh, did I mention, all non premium alcohol is free, as long, as you are playing at a table or a slot. That's my favorite thing about Horseshoe!!!

A large casino with lots of slot machines as well as open table games, a high steaks only room, and live music in the evenings through the week at well as weekends. There is smoking allowed in most areas so if you have health concerns, be forewarned. There is a nice hotel attached (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the prices are double what they are through the week) as well as a live performance theatre (shows are B/C list and usually on weekends.) The buffet is quite large with lots of options, though the food is only marginal in quality, there are two restaurants and a burger place inside if you are looking for better quality food. Make sure to use your Total Rewards card at the buffet, it's a free loyal card and will save you $6 a person.

I was booked for a whole week, but was only able to stay 2 nights. It was a great room. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, and even though it was a smoking room, I couldn't tell. Granted I got a 50$/night rate for the week and 90$/night for the poker tournament special. Definitely recommend it.
