The hotel front desk staff were condescending; all while they were responsible for messing up my reservation which caused me to pay two deposits ($100/ea) for the same room/ stay. When I asked for the manager, I wad told, "she won't be in for two weeks and no one else is taking her place. " The casino staff and restaurant employees were very friendly and attentive. Other than the hotel experience, I enjoyed my stay and gaming here.

My husband and I recently stayed in another hotel in the area and were not impressed. Boomtown was suggested to us from a good friend and we definitely will be suggesting it to others. Especially with coming from out of town, it was a good hotel for the night. Accommodating, clean rooms, clean beds and the free water was nice. Friendly employees all around!

I came last week to the Boomtown Casino Hotel and stayed for 3 nights. It wasn't as fancy as what I'm used to in the city where I live. I really feel like this hotel needs to be remodeled asap. The carpet is old, the furniture's old, the ceiling is strange and the curtains are really old and dilapidated. It looks like it came out of a 1840 scary movie. The one-room we went to had a nice hot tub in the king room, but had a leak on the ceiling and water was dripping into the tub. My sister wouldn't let us switch rooms because she didn't want to bother anybody. The staff is nice and always polite just like practically all the Louisiana people. The bathrooms look like Motel 6. They're just so ugly and nasty. They are plain old white tiles with dirty grout. The view seriously had two dumpsters with old mattresses dumped in them. The pool is decent-sized and the hot tub is great. It really bubbles up and is very hot. There were too many kids dominating the pool all day so we had to wait till about 8:30 till they all went to bed. Then we only had an hour and a half and they came and kicked us out promptly at 10. I don't like it that they close at 10 p.m. When we got there the one night there were no towels in the pool area. I had to get out of the pool freezing and walk dripping wet to the reservation desk. She told me somebody would send the towels down to us. I didn't really believe that was going to happen but I went back to the pool and then 45 minutes later and still no towels. I told this guy guest to go down there and ask for towels maybe they would listen to him. He went down there soaking wet and asked for towels and the receptionist said she would have them delivered. We all angrily waited another 30 minutes and then finally somebody came with the towels. Eureka. Things are slow to get done around here. But the staff is polite once they get around to doing it. I would still come back to this hotel especially if you get a comp night and or a reduction in the room rates on a special. I was getting used to the old style decor. I wish management would put some time and effort into this hotel remodel it and get it up to 2018 standards.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. I reserved on the phone & was told a price so I booked. The next day I was charged $20 over that price. I called for clarification on this & all they can tell me is that I “must have misheard.” I don’t think so whatsoever. The only reason I chose this hotel is because it was lower priced than the competitors. In hindsight if I was gonna pay what I ended up having to pay I sure wouldn’t have stayed in this hotel. I can understand mistakes being made but offering no explanation or way of making things right is pitiful customer service.

I loved staying in boomtown hotel. What I loved most is they didn’t have those bedspreads that give me the nerves!!! I absolutely hate them. No they had a comforter sandwiches between the sheets and a blanket. I was so warm and my blood is low. So I don’t get warm easily. The front desk woman was amazing I was sad to check out at 11am but hey at least they had a room for us(me and my guy) I should have booked a room here in the the first place. The other hotel we stayed at was HORRIBLE!!! But I would love to stay one more night at your hotel.
