Still sad it is gone!
I miss the nickel slots and flowing drinks that came with the Mardi Gras beads...

Food was decent, but not anything super special. Our server was really good though. She took care of us well and was the highlight of the meal. I had the red beans and rice. It was good, but had a hair in one of the chicken strips. Our server promptly took care of it and made it right. My wife had the gumbo which was good tasting but watery. All in all, not bad, but just nothing outstanding.

Great location with a bar, oyster bar, and table seating. I was quickly seated at the oyster bar and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The two men working the bar were a lot of fun and helped keep the conversation going with everyone seated there. I had a couple draft beers and a dozen raw oysters plus one enormous incredible hulk oyster that was added later (see photos) I thought the food was good and I enjoyed my lunch. It didn't bother me, but I'm sure others would take issue with the level of cleanliness. There were no glaring violations, but if things were more tidy and constantly wiped down I would add a star or two.

The shrimp and grits Napoleon were the best! My husband and I seriously sat there for about 2 hours just enjoying our meal. The cherry on the cake was the live street band playing right outside. For dessert, we got the fried cheesecake....MAAAN! I wish this place was somewhere closed to where I lived. I made sure to go back for another order before I left the city. I even took a picture of my meal to always remind me of the best meal I've ever had.

The shrimp and grits Napoleon was too good! Fried green tomatoes stacked with grits and shrimp in a cream sauce... You can't go wrong. The shrimp ya ya was an excellent dish, too. Our other dishes were wonderful, but those two were the highlights. This place was worth the stop!

This place is overpriced and the food is below average at best. Came here because we didn't want to wait in line at Acme Oyster House. Next time, we will wait in line at Acme.

Please no one waste your time with this place! Service was fine but the food was not good. Crawfish Etoufee with fried crawfish??? Who does this? Shrimp Jambalaya was shrimp and dirty rice! Red Beans and rice were decent! 3 people with no alcohol was $100. A rip off for the quality of food.
