Legendary rock band The Who bring all of their classic hits to Harveys Lake Tahoe for an outdoor concert on Aug. 16.
The English band formed in 1964 with lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bassist John Entwistle and drummer Keith Moon. The band currently consists of Daltrey, Townshend and a group of touring musicians.
The Who have been one of rock’s most influential bands and have sold more than 100 million records.
During the ‘60s the band released hit songs like “My Generation” and “I Can See for Miles.” In 1969 they released their rock opera, “Tommy,” which featured the song “Pinball Wizard.” The follow up to “Tommy” was “Who’s Next,” which hit No. 1 in the UK on the strength of songs like “Baba O’Riley” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”
