Flamingo Las Vegas

Just got back from staying at the Flamingo. I've stayed here before and had a good stay. This time it was awful. Even though the rates are reasonable I would not recommend it. The first day we checked in around 5 pm. Our room was filthy. It was covered in dust and the bathroom floor was sticky. We asked about changing rooms and we were told we couldn't. They did send housekeeping to rectify the problem. The next day we had no hot water for showers. They sent maintenance staff up later in the day to rectify this problem. The next day, we left our room around 9 am and came back around 4 pm. Our room had not been cleaned. We thought perhaps hotel staff were busy so we didn't complain at that time. We left our room at 5:30 pm and got back around midnight. The room had still not been cleaned and we didn't have fresh towels. We were told by hotel staff that we could upgrade for an extra $30 per night, but is it really necessary to upgrade to get a clean room and hot water. I wonder what the resort fees are for? The hotel pool - well that's another story. We definitely will not be staying at the Flamingo again.
