I have visited Parx several times. One of the main reasons why I continue to go is because of the amiable and usually professional staff, games and proximity.
There are a few trends I have noticed that have concerned me. It may be due to increase traffic (summer) or another factor, but regardless, I believe there is an opportunity for management to tighten up a little.
On more than a few occasions, I have recently had some difficulty getting servers to provide beverage while I play. To be fair, they are around but it appears that there are areas of the floor that are being ignored/not covered. (they are being stopped by guests who are walking around, not playing and rarely can get to some of us who are sitting and playing). Not always the case, but a trend.
While I don't mind - and I certainly understand - people watching and waiting etc., there could be something done that will give players more space - slots - (progressive) so that other guests are not hovering over their shoulders. I often have situations where I am trying to relax and play, and someone is hovering over my shoulder trying to have a conversation with me. It is imposing and rude. We see this at the table games too. I wish the floor staff would be more visible around the progessive games. (its getting a little creepier lately)
The other trend that I have noticed is that non-player card holders - or those who opt not to use their cards - appear to do better than those who use their cards. To be fair, I have had some luck in the past, but the trend has reversed and I am no longer confident that the slot machines are good - especially when you use your card. This is not factual, but it is a trend I have experience.
I like the visibility of staff on the floor. The greeters and security are professional.
