Windjammer

I have been to the Windjammer four or five times over the past 15 years. It's a great balance between nice and affordable. The rooms are comfortable and have all the proper amenities without going beyond necessity and into the extravagance stage. It's really all about the ocean and community and this resort is right there. They really seem fully understand that guests want to be out on the beach, eating at the local restaurants, or relaxing in and around the pool. The property is clean and well taken care of and particular attention is paid to the outdoor areas, which are really nice. It's not a large property, which is all the better for my style — quiet, relaxed, and splashes of fun (literally and figuratively). We'll keep coming back. I guess that's the true test of a resort, right?

We had the worst customer experience with this cruise line. We had booked a cruise for the entire family to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. She ended up getting hospitalized and super sick just a couple of weeks prior to the departure date. Even though we had ALL of the paperwork to back up our medical claim, Royal Caribbean was unwilling to cooperate with us. They were not willing to provide ANY kind of refund or voucher for ANY of the tickets we booked for the cruise. Every airline, every travel carrier makes an exception for medical emergencies, but not these people. Whoever came up with this terrible, inhumane policy at Royal Caribbean--I hope you never have a sick family member and have to deal with this time of terrible customer service as we did.

I was on the Anthem of the Seas and it was great! All of the employees were so nice, one employee told me he works 12 hours but he ALWAYS smiled and was very friendly and looked genuinely happy. The ship was so much fun, so many cool things to do, there was so much to do we didn't even have time to do all of it during the 7 day cruise. I would definitely recommend!!

Windjammer

The way the hotel is laid out and the views are amazing. All of the waitresses were friendly and accommodating but there were some major issues that I experienced with the front desk. Delta lost our bags for 3 days. Obviously not Windjammers issue but they way they handled it was terrible. The hotel would not let me use their phones to try to figure out my bag situation which is was really disappointing. I had to constantly ask them to call for me and if I didn't keep bugging them they wouldn't help. We were denied eating a restaurant one night because we didn't have proper attire. They could have at least stuck us in the corner or something. Communication: It seriously doesn't seem like anyone at the front desk knows what anyone else is doing. 1) Because we had no proper clothing, we were waiting for the hotel stores to open. I was told at 8:00 that they would open at 8:00, I was told at 8:00 that they would open at 8:30. Then 9:00...then 9:30. Then at 11:00 they finally told me that they realized the store was closed that day. 2) We asked how much snorkeling equipment was for all inclusive people...I was told $15 an hour. Then I went over two the snorkel shop and realized it was free/included. 3) I asked for a couple extra towels and a robe one day...it literally took 6 hours to get them. 4) I wanted to use a spa voucher so I asked the front desk about it, they said it would work so i walked all the way to the spa. They spa said it wouldn't work and that I had to get a specific voucher from the front desk...went back to the front desk.....eventually got the special voucher. 5) I wanted to book an excursion and the front desk told me that the person got it at 9:00....they didn't get in until 11:30. By that time it was too late. All I did was wait around for these people!!
