Restaurant @ Hialeah Park

I went to Hialeah yesterday (Thursday) and it was an interesting destination to say the least Plus: It was a histpric site and indeed a lot of history from here. It was in decent shape for the most part. My friend and I had a decent lunch. The people were generally pretty decent as well. Minus: I use a walker and no longer drive so it was a long walk from Metro-Rail station to the casino entrance. There are a lot of obstacles in the casino which made it rather difficult to walk around. I think they only had one cashier and no signs directing where to find it. Finally found a ticket cashing machine which did the job. The casino is difficult to navigate using a walker and could be even worse with a wheelchair. I lead a group of elderly folks on a couple of trips a year but based on my experience at Hialeah we won't consider Hialeah Park aa A viable option. I would love to recommendd Hialeah Park but in good conscience I am not able to do so. All of the current casinos in nearby Broward County are more user friendly than Hialeah Park is and any one of them would get my nod over Hialeah for being much more user friendly. Noel Weaver

I’m giving this establishment a 4 because I was impressed with what they’ve done to the place considering it was the old race track. As for everything else. It’s atmosphere was jovial. Food was fresh. Good overall. The only area I feel they need to expand on would be the machines. They need to bring more of the popular modern machines like jeopardy just to give you an example.

The history here is amazing. Always wanted to come here. The Flamingo aviary is way cool. The ambiance was great. The Havana Cafe had great food and service. Casino and Race Track staff were very helpful and friendly.

Very nice casino and the cuban cafe is an awesome restaurant to try ! Great food ,,,,good service,,,great prices ,,,i tried the cuban sandwich with fries and pickle,,,, outstanding ,,,so much food I couldn't finish,,,,also tried the chicken marsala,,,, outstanding as well and could not finish ,,,if I lived nearby I would take half home for 2 great meals,,,,also very good expresso ,,,5 stars for the best casual food in a casino ,,,,thank you!

I had not been there in years and it was wonderful to go back and see it again. Like seeing an old friend. It has aged as we all have. However it still has class and beauty. The clubhouse tele-theatre was beautiful. I had a great time. Nice people. Thank you John :)

If you like horse races betting slots machines gambling poker playing and good food you have to try the Havana Cafe delicious and recognize that the Hialeah Park Racing is your place.

Their Sunday bunch is awesome I have been enjoying it for 4 times already and decided to write this lovely review for the restaurant and casino. The casino is nice and there’s little to no cigarette smoke smell like other casinos I have been too.

I like to combine spicy and sweet things here. I come to park and take a walk around the grounds for a while to think. Then I go in to the Casino and hit some machines and a few hands of blackjack. Win or lose, I stay for 50 minutes, then out I go. I change into my jogging stuff and jog for an hour. Spicy and sweet. That's a good Saturday for me.
