Starlight Restaurant

Waiter with braces said food was at 30 percent off, ordered 4 Cuban sandwiches with fries, 2 cokes and tea. Cokes were sky high ($5) and barely had ice. Sandwiches was suppose to be around $10-$11(originally $16 each) but were charged $16 anyway even tho they try to stop you in street with their "special deal". Bill came up to alil over $100(yikes) when I estimated it to be around $60ish. They added a "service fee" of $15-$20 and expected a tip. Then would not change ticket to their 30 off deal, but instead offering little shots and candy, smh. After talking and talking I finally got back $20 off bill but not service fee. Then to make this story better when we was leaving the guy said " now get the f*** out" never ever will even think about eating there again. Rip off restaurant. Stay far away.

Awesome spot, two minutes away from the beach. The rooms could be a bit cleaner, but overall it was a nice stay.

Starlight Restaurant

This is a small boutique hotel located in the heart of the Art Deco district. The "no-frills" hotel is surprisingly clean and comfortable. The hotel is an old building which shows its age but is well maintained. The shower has plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The AC works well and the temperature can be adjusted without issues. There is good lighting. The mattress is in good condition with clean sheets and blanket. Firm pillows. Non allergy pillows were requested in advance. The room was quiet (3rd floor). Floors were clean. Maid service kept the room clean. As the least expensive option on Ocean Drive during an event weekend, I was pleasantly surprised and I tend to be a picky traveler.

PERFECT LOCATION! Front desk staff was lovely. I love the hotel except how the bar is right in front of the door, the waiters and waitresses are always standing in the way. The walls are pretty thin but walking distance to everything in south beach. I strongly suggest this hotel!
