Enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the chef prepare my creole dish. Good service and food.

For a fancy place in a casino this place has some worts. Overall pretty tasty, but given the prices one expects more. Gumbo is served with only a scoop of rice, which given the humongous portion is simply not enough to achieve proper gumbo consistency, which us a real shame for a place that calls itself canjun style. Two or two and half scoops would work much better. Asking extra for extra scoop of rice is extortion at this pricing, considering it should be included to make an actual gumbo. Mostly tasty. The oyster in gumbo was way more fishy tasting than one would like. (And unlike the raw oysters, which tasted just fine.) If none of this sways you, then consider this: Very small seating area. If you are by yourself, or just a couple that can sit on a var, then you will be fine. If you are a party of more the wait for table will be lenghty. They don't take reservation, and there is a line. Party of eight can expect an hour and half wait easily on a popular day.

The Pan Roast with crab meat had as much shell as meat. Not good. Also had the Corn Chowder with Crab and it tasted more like pink mush than corn chowder. Maybe my dog will eat it? The service was good, but there is no ambience people and it stinks of cigarettes which goes great with seafood. I'm guessing the positive reviews are from people who like this type of atmosphere and flavors. UPDATE: My dog wouldn't eat it either!

Fabulous servers, talented chefs, and delicious seafood! I'd go every day if I could! ( I'm originally from the Pacific Northwest so I know good seafood when I taste it.)

A small restaurant yet POWERFUL! Though open to the main floor, it was tucked into an area that created a cozy and intimate dining atmosphere. There was a small line, a steady table turn over, yet no one appeared to feel rushed. The small staff were all very pleasant, and seemed to appear then disappear, serving every dish at a comfortable pace, as tables were cleared and set, quite magically. The chef was an artist! She combined fresh ingredients, herbs and liquids into an individual portion sized woc. There was a row of them, nestled between she and we, mesmerizing all who watched her create their dish. My guest and I were seated at the horse shoe shaped bar, where we were able to watch meals beautifully prepared before us. We shared the Crab Cocktail, which was nearly all lump meat! VERY RARE!! After a shared satiated pause, we dove into our main course. She had the New England Clam Chowder, while I ordered the Seafood Corn Chowder. WOW! Portion sizes were LARGE, yet do-able. Each dish was quite meaty, a seafood lovers dream. Mine had a bountiful variety of chunky seafood,, while my guest's seemed to overflow with shrimp! There was SO MUCH, that we each took home a doggie bag! The price for our evening meal was so unexpectedly reasonable, I left a large tip! We are looking forward to returning the Ocean Trail very soon!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OCEAN TRAIL to ANYONE!!

The food was great, pricey, but very good. Oysters were to die for... very fresh. However, the service was awful. Our waiter totally ignored us after taking our order. We had to summons another waiter who eventually took very good care of us. Go early if you don't want to wait in a long line for a table as it's all on a first come, first serve basis.

Very good seafood ! Small cute, small place in the casino. The pan roasts are the thing to get. You won't find this anywhere else. The shrimp items are super good and raw oysters. Nice selection of drinks. This is a must try !
