Jackpot Buffet

Meskwaki is one of the best casino's I have been to. Love the atmosphere. Bingo is fun and lots of options for slots. Only thing could improve is the customer service. Staff isn't the best.

We love this place. Never had a bad experience. Except today. All you can eat seafood. I got a plate full of crab legs and they were literally still frozen inside . And I did not notice until I took a bite. Lost my appetite for it right then. I called a waitress over and she broke open a few of them and said wow they are supposed to be hot. I chuckled and said ya I'm done. I can not eat this. I had a piece of apple pie. Extremely expensive pie. Was a little shocked the waitress did not offer my money back or anything. And you pay for there tip before you even get to eat. So all in all. I spent over $200 on this room. $55 on dinner. And hundreds on the casino floor. So beyond this we have had great experiences at this place normally. But it was the only bad part of it all. The night was great. The next day was great.

Not enough staff for the tables provided (why offer games if customers can't play them? ). Too few drink service people. Dealers are hit or miss in terms of professionalism. Food is way over priced and not very fresh or tasty. Sometimes entertainment is decent... sometimes. Save time: drive by, roll down your window, throw out your cash, keep driving.

The artifacts and historic pictures were my favorite thing about the hotel and casino. I also liked the relatively open floor plan of the casino. However, the staff didn't seem very energetic or well-trained. There isn't much in the way of sound-proofing in the hotel: we heard our neighbors and anyone in the hallway. Furnishings are a bit worn, but king bed was comfy and the room and public spaces were clean.

I stopped by on New Years Eve to have some gambling fun. The casino part is fun, I did not use the motel part. It would be nice if they had more than one roulette table, or a larger one so more than five people can easily fit at it.

The buffet was well worth the $20 For dinner. The bathrooms were actually clean with all the amenities being stocked. The dealers at the tables were knowledgeable in their respective games, and were well-groomed with good attitudes. Overall it's a nice place. There's not too many places that you can get a $20 Buffet of seafood that is perfectly cooked, and is not rubbery tasting. They do a excellent job at keeping a drink in your hand at all times.

The casino is fun but not being a gambler this was not the main attraction for me. They have a small display sharing their history and culture. There are photos, painting or reprints (not sure), descriptions who these people were and cases displaying arrow heads, canoes, art work, etc. The hotel has a nice work out area and a small pool. There is a spa but it requires an appointment. The hotel is currently working updates so is under construction. A nice place to visit, listen to music at the bar maybe dance a little, and relax or just kill time.

So they remove bad reviews as mine was removed!! Here we go again 240 dollars later one bonus for 60cents!! This casino brags about the best payout in Iowa and that is BS!! They don’t have to display the payout percentage nor do they pay taxes to the state or government!! I say throw your money out the window as you drive by it’s the same difference better yet save your gas and hard earned money and enjoy an exciting night in Riverside!!

Attended a concert Saturday night and the veterans Meskwaki Hall. Got there about 6 went to the food court because we wanted to get dinner before the show. Ordered a brisket sandwich from one of the fine food vendors and it was tremendously good. After that ordered a couple beers at a very reasonable price, very impressed with the service that we encountered. Overall it was a great evening the venue was nice and small very quaint very good sound it was a great time overall.
