Very comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room was awesome. Bathroom with full tub was excellent. Free valet parking and wifi. Really good buffet too. Only problem, had to call about dog barking for an hour in room down the hall. They were quick to resolve that issue. Overall, wonderful and restful stay. Looking to return soon.

Motor City Casino is a beautiful place and have virtually any game that you want to play however every since they built the hotel it appears to me and once again this is just my opinion, that people no longer win like they did before they built the hotel as I guess they are trying to recoup all of that money that they spent by making people lose. Still like old ear for the lights and excitement and so far it's been pretty safe. The food is delicious and the drinks are delicious too so if you're just looking to spend a few bucks then I advise you to go but if you're looking to win, chances are you won't win much and will wind up spending more than you win.

I work as an activities director at an independent living senior community. Not too long ago I planned a trip to take some seniors to this casino. The bus we use has a wheelchair lift on the right side and I had multiple residents on the trip who needed to use it. When I arrived at the casino I couldn't figure out where I would be able to drop them off and lower the lift, so I pulled into the valet. Security was clearly annoyed I was there but I'm not going to drop off my residents in the middle of a street where there's a curb so they won't even be able to get inside. When we were leaving I used the valet again and was informed by a security guard that I could not be there and had to circle around until my residents came out. I told him I realize it's not his fault, but it would be nice if the casino has a place for handicapped drop off. He informed me they do have one but he wasn't sure exactly where and told me you have to call ahead to use it. I sincerely hope this isn't true, because to quote someone else, "Access does not mean access on demand and waiting. Access means independent, spontaneous access." Please consider making your building more accessible to disabled people. We all know seniors like to go to the casino anyways. Next time I will be taking my residents elsewhere because accessibility is important.

I can really only rate the poker room, which was fine. The rake is $6+1, which is a little bit high, especially for someone in town from Vegas. They could have used chip runners (or put dealers on a "brush" down to act as chip runners), so that players could stay in action when they need to top up their stacks. There isn't much cocktail service, if you're planning on drinking something alcoholic, but you'd have to pay for anything alcoholic. Soft drinks and coffee are available for free right in the poker room, as are several sorts of finger food. I did enjoy the sandwich I got in the deli downstairs, too.

The Assembly Line restaurant was fantastic! I particularly loved the soul food; grits with shrimp, ham hocks and greens, the best fried chicken I've ever had, and an awesome prime rib. Was a little pricey at first thought ($28), but I quickly dismissed that, because it was well worth it. The bread pudding was very good with a cup of coffee for desert. Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. The staff was so polite and welcoming. When I go back to Detroit I'm definitely stopping there again.

This hotel is a must at least a few times a year to get away. You can have as much fun as you want without having to drive home. The rooms are always very clean and I've never been disappointed. Would definitely recommend for any age.

I have to say that I was very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were equally priced to others in the area but were much better. As a 6'1 230 man it is nice to find a tub I actually fit in (they are in every room). The bed was super comfy and they are just overall very nice rooms (if a little dated). The casino seems tight, but you don't go to a casino to win! The food was great at a good price at the diner and the shuttle to events downtown was an awesome free bonus!

Stayed overnight for the Jack White concert at LCA. Our room was very nice. Floor could have been vacuumed better. Bathroom / shower was great. TV screen stayed on late. Too much light from the TV while trying to sleep. Bed was comfy. I didn't care for the pillows. We stopped in the spa and used the fitness room /hot tub. Hot tub was wonderful. Staff were very friendly in all parts of the hotel and casino.

The Monday all you can eat seafood buffet is all that! The crab legs are always meaty and always in supply. The side dishes and sushi is very good also. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There's usually a one two-hour wait so pack your patience.
