Rail City Ale House

Salmon and Cod and Chips are generally excellent. Too often the batter on the fish is too thick and undercooked - inedible. However, the batter is homemade and when thinner and cooked it is delicious. Other than that, the fish portions are generous and always cooked perfectly. French fries used to be a tad better - need to revert to steak fries. Do not need a plate full, just a few. Cole slaw is tasty. Prices are very reasonable; similar food at other restaurants.is $5-10 more per plate for smaller portions and not as good. Best of all, Steve our favorite waiter is EXCELLENT. He always remembers our preferences regardless of how long it has been since our last visit. He is engaging, fast, and attentive. Move this man up to Manager! We travel over an hour just to eat here so Thank you Rail City Ale House and Steve, our favorite waiter, for making our trip worthwhile.

Rail City Ale House

The Ale house has pretty good customer service, despite the gay guy at the front counter with an attitude. They served us raw chicken one time. Ended up giving us our meal free because of it, but we will never eat there again now. The City Cafe has employed numerous meth/drug addicts, the water tastes like ice cold toilet water, their prices are insane for their quality of food, the servers & front desk employees are not friendly at all, the food is the WORST quality of ANYWHERE in Reno/Sparks, next to the dirty Sands. Coffee tastes like reheated sewage. On top of it, my phone data only works half the time inside of the Cafe & their "free WiFi" has never worked! I will never eat there again either!

Rail City Ale House

Good Food/Reasonable Prices! We've been several times and each meal has been delicious and the service is great! I have brought out of town guests to the Ale House and have never had a bad or unpleasant experience. In fact, we try to go at least once a week. If you haven't eaten there, I highly recommend giving the Ale House a chance. :)

Rail City Ale House

Decent food. Decent prices. Baja fish tacos were OK. All of the house beers are a little sweet for my taste. The air was a little stuffy and almost smoky. Lots of TVs and attentive wait staff. Virtually no cell data signal or house WiFi. Some of the staff are kinda rude.
