South Point is an average casino. We ate at the buffet which was sub-average. The variety was lacking, the quality was less than average, and the meats we're either overcooked or almost raw. The buffet also smelled like the cigarette smoke that filled the casino, which made the food taste like cigarettes. I would steer clear of South Point unless you're going for a cheap cigarette tasted buffet. The one positive note was my niece loves crab and the Garden Buffet had what looked like snow crab legs, so my niece loved it.

Good for quantity but lacked flavor and quality. Prime rib was ok and probably one of the best options on the buffet, however it's a little fatty. Potato salad and a few other items seemed to come from bulk food service tubs (pre-made). Food was either rather bland or very salty. I'm sure there are better buffet options around...

My husband and I dined at the Garden Buffet for lunch several days while we were vacationing in Vegas and staying at the South Point hotel. The dining area here is very large, with table or booth seating available. The prices are different for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Also, the lunch buffets are different during the week as opposed to during weekends. Weekends they have brunch buffets which are higher priced and have different options. My husband and I aren't brunch people and wish they would just have the regular lunch menu and price during the weekends as they do during the week. Also, dinner buffets are more expensive than lunch buffets. While we visited, the dinner buffet was $15 and included peel-and-eat shrimp and prime rib. My husband wasn't impressed by either and said it didn't justify the higher buffet price.They have several different areas (Italian, BBQ, Seafood, Asian, Dessert, Salad Bar, etc) to the buffet, which offers good variety. Some options are better than others. My husband tried several different foods from each station, including different types of meat, which always seemed to be fatty, and lacking any flavor. I really enjoyed the stir-fry, which was a little confusing to understand the process for ordering, but tasted great every day. However, the pizza, macaroni and cheese, and potatoes I found to have no flavor. We liked that the buffet price includes a pop, and having had a hard time finding restaurants that serve Pepsi products, I love that they offered Mountain Dew. The employees are usually pretty friendly and attentive. This buffet offers lots of options to choose from, and a large, comfortable area to sit in, but I would say the quality of the food could be improved.

Good good food, nice environment. Don't listen to the old Japanese lady as she buys you 4 wines. She'll be so nice you can't say no. Then being you, you'll obviously drink 2 whole bottles. Then you'll think of this review and wish you hadn't listened to the old Japanese lady.

Without a doubt, “THE WORST CRAB BUFFET” ever! The crab was way over cooked, probably been re- heated every day for weeks, it looked so undesirable, that I ate a few and left the rest! I will “NEVER” go back to this pathetic, waste of money buffet ever again. The Chinese food was so soggy, the bbq ribs were so over cooked, and the deserts were stale. Man, I just can’t say enough how disappointed I am...

First time we’ve been here. We always walked by it when going to the movies and this time we decided to try it. And let me tell you it will not disappoint you. Variation of food. We had a lovely waitress.

What happened to the Crab? We have been going here for years and it's always been great. We loved the crab; it tasted great and you did not have to crack it. Now, the crab is is small, stinky, dirty and I don't know what was growing on it.. some of the other food was changed as well but not for the better. It's too bad this was our favorite family ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB place, I will not go there till they change it back.

First time here here but certainly not the last! The majority of the food was great although there were a few misses. They were not very busy but the food was fresh and hot which sometimes isn't the case when there aren't alot of people to keep the food cycled. Service was pretty good although the lady that was seating everyone was somewhat rude although she may have been having a bad day, either way, they should always be nice when in the service industry. Get the club card for the discount.
