Lee Street Station Café

I had southern eggs Benedict which said it was biscuits and gravy with ham also ordered side of bacon. It was good. Simple diner food not meaning as an insult. It was good and priced fairly. Self serve coffee and soda. Comfortable atmosphere friendly service. Unfortunately my girlfriend had a Fruit cup and Cinnamon Roll. The roll was a little stale not good but not horrible. The fruit cup was obviously old and a day away from moldy. We pointed it out to the waitress who looked at it and readily agreed. They made some excuses and took it off the bill. It should not have been served and makes you wonder about the freshness of the rest of the food. Well maybe just stay away from the fruit and bakery.

Lee Street Station Café

Passing through Deadwood, we wanted to grab some breakfast. Having parked near the main drag, we found Lee St. Station and saw that they had outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day out (though a gust of breeze blew one of the other tables’ umbrella into the street!), so the fresh air was inviting. Our waitress was super friendly and nice to our girls (7 and 10). The food was delicious and there was plenty. The coffee was self-serve. It was around 10 am, so the outdoor makers were out, so we had to go inside to keep filling up - not a big deal, but just different enough to note. My country fried steak breakfast was really good. The kids loved their standards - big pancakes, scrambled eggs, and incredibly good sausage. The 7 y/I was really impressed with the perfectly-buttered toast. Either she is easy to impress or they really did it right! (Trust me - she is NOT easy to impress!) On a week-plus long road trip with lots of stops and meals at various places, this was one of my faves. Beautiful day, friendly service, yummy breakfast food.

Breakfast was a fairly typical diner style meal. Average in pretty much every way. I'm not sure if it's like this everyday or not, but we had to battle flies through the whole meal in the inside dining area.

Wanted to give a better review. But unfortunately my fiance was treated horribly today. She had a late breakfast yesterday, had a good meal. She tipped 25% then. Went back today for lunch by herself and wanted to sit in a lower seating area. She was told "Give me a break, I'm by myself here." And the waiter stormed off mad. When only a couple tables had drinks... love this little town. Dont eat here unless you want rude service.

Had a lot of fun eating breakfast here. Tami was attentive, friendly fun. The interior was cute with lots to look at. I'm not big on casino so seeing all that didn't do anything for me. The food was good, was a normal breakfast nothing over the top. I personally love breakfast so almost all breakfast is over the top. Coffee was good. The fresh squeezed orange juice was a nice treat. Price was what I expected. And got a very nice "Deadwood" sweat shirt for $20 to take home to my beautiful wife. I came here based on reviews and was not disappointed.

I'm still having horrible flashbacks of our experience there. This was our first dining out experience on our vacation and it was so terrible (food/service/price) that we went to the local grocery store and never ate in the town again. I'm not sure I can adequately describe how horrible the taste of the food was. I honestly have no idea how this place got any good reviews.

Great food. Easy walking distance from downtown. Tables are spread out so you have to look around a little to find open seating. They do have outdoor seating available. Gets very busy so get there early or be prepared to wait. Fast service.

Lee Street Station Café

Pros: food was good, reasonably priced. Decent coffee. Nice atmosphere. Cons: sat for over an hour for our food. Had two trainees, so I totally empathize with the challenges. But I also expect management to talk to us about it and at least make a small gesture like offering free coffee. Poor customer service, so I'd try somewhere else.
