Our first time at PY. They were just a few little things away from a full 5 stars. Our reservation was honored and we were seated right away. The waiter knew our last name and consistently referred to us as "Mr and Mrs ....." until we suggested he call us by our first names. This was a very considerate touch. We ordered cocktails--her a cosmo and me a Manhattan. They were good, not great. My Manhattan was too sweet--more vermouth and less bourbon. The cherries (griottines?) were great--thanks for not settling for maraschinos! The bread was very nice--thin, cheesy breadsticks and soft, delicious rolls (with "PY" baked in). But.... They took forever. Seriously. It was strange. Although it was a Saturday night, they weren't that busy. Our entrees were slow to come out, too. We shared an appetizer--the steak tartar. Delicious, with a hint of sour citrus. Very nice! The soups weren't particularly interesting to us and they didn't have a traditional Caesar salad (for a steak place?), so we skipped it and went to the entree. She had the 6 oz filet (cooked to perfection). I had the cowboy ribeye. It seemed a little medium on the edges, but the steak was actually cooked perfectly in the center. Take a lesson from Ruth's Chris and bring those steaks out on fiery hot plates, please. Our sides were truly on the side. We shared the mushrooms, prepared in a delicious sauce and on a bed of cooked onions. Really good. The other side was a potatoe au gratin dish. Baked, it was nice and cheesy on the surface, but lost that quality inside. It really should have been cheesy throughout. We selected a merlot from the Carneros region and it was delicious (and reasonably priced). Oh, and perfectly served, too. Our servers were professional, attentive, and spot-on (except for the weird delay at the beginning). We passed on dessert and after-dinner drinks. In the conversation, we happened to mention that we both had served in the military. When our check arrived, our waiter let us know that he applied a military discount! We made sure that showed up in his tip. We'll be back!

Great! However, if you even think about the eight course tasting menu.... make sure you come extremely hungry... it is a ton of food at a great price.

Atmosphere was great, our waittress was kind and knowledge, and the rest of the staff were interested with were equally nice and accommodating. Went with a crowd of three a couple hours before our show at the Ava Ampitheater. We made reservations ahead of time and when we got there we were seated right away. Of course, we had to order the main thing people rave about (and is in there name). We ordered two filet mignon's with different rubs, and a pork with risotto dish, along with some wine, sides, and a dessert. Everything tasted delicious, the presentation was great, and the portions were healthy. However, the reason for only 4 stars out of 5 is that the steak was over cooked, which is a shame since that's the part we most looked forward to. Ordered medium, got well done. Mistakes happen, but with thermometers available, cooking a steak should never be a guessing game, especially when it's $50 a piece.

Food is phenomenal!! The staff is so friendly and helpful and answer any questions you have about the menu. Our waiter was so kind and recommended the best wine I had ever had! I had the 6 oz filet mignon and I still have dreams about it. Amazing! Highly recommend!

Considering the menu prices we expected a much more formal setting. We felt over dressed in our business casual attire as there were people in flip flops and t-shirts. We really wanted a classy night out without our children a "date night" if you will. Our server was really friendly, but service was extremely slow, took a very long time to take our order and a extremely long time for our food to come. When it did arrive the presentation was beautiful ( pictures shown)! I ordered the 12oz Top Sirloin medium rare but it came very rare not medium rare...but we waited so long to get our food I didn't want to send it back, not to mention I wasn't even asked by the server if it was cooked properly. Every good steak house I have been to this question is asked every time. My husband had the Duck, very small portion and tasted very bland. We shared a side of the spicy fried brussel sprouts which were amazing, they were the best part of the whole meal hands down. When it came to desert we were looking forward to the banana creme brule but we were informed they were out, the server did offer the citrus cheesecake with their compliments. It was a nice gesture and we took him up on the offer, it was ok, very very tart. All in all we thought the wait was extremely long to get our food which really cut into our "date night" time to explore the casino and the food is way over priced for the quality received. We probably will not be returning any time in the near future.

Terrible service and even worse food. The wait staff was quite incompetent. It took 45 minutes to be served and no one else was there! The lamb was absolutely raw and it was a good 20 minutes before our waitress checked to see how it was. They must have microwaved it to cook more -wasn't even good dog food. No comp on the tab. Next time we'll eat sushi. My friend's brisket was tough and chewy and soaked with A1 sauce. Time for new cooks!

Busy place, one bartender=slow bar service. I had the albacore tuna, it was tough and still had fin cartilage. Not worth the money.
