The Pier

First time there and will definitely return. Parking was free at the pier and the beach was easily accessible. Covered picnic tables are located throughout the parking lot of you choose to eat prior to going to the water. I didn't see a ramp however so trucking the cooler and beach car up the stairs sucked. Lots of sea shells!!! I think I saw more shells there intacted than I did at Sanibel.

The Pier

Parking is free even during a holiday such as July 4 weekend. Tropical vegetation can be seen on the way to the beach. Beware of wooden markers with plastic tape. These markers will be in a triangular shape and mark Loggerhead Turtle egg sites. Locals said there is a one thousand dollar fine for disturbing these nests of eggs. There are several entrances onto the beach from the parking area. Make sure to wear footwear such as flip flops or even better crocks or tie on shoes as the beach sand is very hot until you reach the waters edge. There are signs explaining the flags near life guard stands. There is also signs that say no dogs on the beach. On this visit there was alot of yellow and brown seaweed on the beach and in the crystal clear blue colored water. Many different seashells were located on the beach however the best one were just below the wave breaks on shore so make sure to bring goggles and snorkel. Was not overly crowded on a Monday prior to July four holiday. Area of the beach have lifeguards on duty and other areas do not. There is no alcoholic beverages permitted on the beach but coolers are permitted. Sunblockers such as beach umbrellas and tents are permitted and suggested for the fairer complextioned. There are showers for rincing off beach sand before getting back into your vehicle.

The Pier

Great place for locals & tourist to have a great time sight seeing or just spending the day on the beach or cooking out or to go fishing! It's and very beautiful, peaceful and clean. Great family place or Tourist spot! I believe it's still $1 to walk on the Pier and $4 or 5 for fishing off the Pier. Free to go on the beach... Just be careful driving thru Juno, especially during the winter months when the snowbirds are here. The cops are terrible and will stop you for every little thing looking to generate money to compensate for the summer slow season! Comes with the territory I guess! It's a seasonal location and have to keep the town a live with revenue
