10/10/2024 - Royal Caribbean has just returned to the port of Labadee, Haiti, after a seven-month break, and we're thrilled to have this favorite destination back on our itineraries. Throughout the rest of 2024, ships including Independence, Freedom, Oasis, Explorer, Voyager, Symphony, and Grandeur of the Seas will make stops at Labadee. 10/10/2024 - Royal Caribbean has just shared some “good-news-bad-news” updates, so let’s kick things off with the good news! Following the success of Perfect Day at Coco Cay, they've announced plans for Perfect Day Mexico. Set in Mahahual, Mexico, this new destination will serve Western Caribbean itineraries. It also aligns with Royal’s expansion in the region, with the Royal Beach Club Cozumel set to debut in 2026. Perfect Day Mexico will offer an all-new water park, pools, beaches, restaurants, and bars, promising “an unparalleled lineup of experiences” with “locally inspired twists in design, flavors, and spirit,” according to the company. 10/10/2024 - Starting November 1, 2024, Royal Caribbean will increase its automatic gratuity rates. The daily gratuity for standard cabins will rise by 50 cents to $18.50 per person, up from $18.00, while suite gratuities will increase to $21.00 per person, up from $20.50. The rates apply to all passengers, regardless of age. However, if you've already booked your cruise, you can prepay your gratuities at the current rate to save. If you wait until you're onboard for a cruise after November 1, you'll be charged the new rates. All sailings booked on or after this date will automatically include the updated gratuity.
