10/01/2025 – MSC Cruises Expands U.S. Presence with Sports Betting, New Ships, and Alaska Sailings

MSC Cruises has announced a wave of updates, including the rollout of onboard sports betting, new ships joining U.S. homeports, and expanded luxury experiences.

Sports betting is now live on select U.S. departures, including the upcoming MSC Seascape sailings from the line’s new Galveston, Texas terminal launching in November 2025, just in time for the NFL playoffs. Guests will be able to catch games in the sports bar and enjoy Texas-themed swag on the inaugural sailings.

Looking ahead, MSC Poesia will homeport in Seattle beginning May 2026 for seven night Alaska itineraries. The ship is being enhanced with expanded spa facilities, the Butcher’s Cut signature steakhouse, and a new MSC Yacht Club.

In Florida, MSC Grandiosa will join MSC Seashore for year-round sailings from Port Canaveral, while MSC Seascape transitions to Galveston service year-round. The World Class fleet also continues to grow, with MSC World America in Miami, MSC World Asia debuting in the Mediterranean in 2026, and another World Class ship slated for Florida in 2027.

Additionally, MSC’s ultra luxury brand, Explora Journeys, is accelerating its rollout. With two ships already in service, four more will join by 2028, bringing the fleet to six vessels in just half a decade.

Beyond new ships, MSC is enhancing its casino program with experiential guest challenges and excursion-style activities developed in partnership with URComped. More details on these initiatives will be announced in the coming months!
