11/13/2025 - This week, Royal Caribbean made an exciting announcement: Icon of the Seas will be sailing from Galveston during the 2027–28 season. While that may feel far off, the news is generating buzz especially for cruisers in Texas. For those of us in the Lone Star State, it means the option to drive to Icon of the Seas and embark on an unforgettable cruise experience.

The Icon will offer 6- to 8-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, with some sailings including stops in Cozumel. Travelers will have the chance to experience the new Royal Beach Club Cozumel, set to open in late 2026.
