1/15/2026 - /Norwegian Cruise Line has officially unveiled its newest ship, Norwegian Aura, marking the largest and longest vessel in the fleet. The 169,000-gross-ton ship, accommodating 3,840 guests at double occupancy, is slated to debut in Europe in late May 2027 before repositioning to Miami to operate seven-night Caribbean sailings beginning June 2027.
Designed with family fun and relaxation in mind, Norwegian Aura features an expansive activity complex called Ocean Heights with the most waterslides ever offered by NCL, an 82-foot ropes course, mini golf, carnival-style games and private cabanas overlooking Vibe Beach Club.
The ship also boasts the largest pool deck in the fleet and an extended Ocean Boulevard promenade. Staterooms range from studios to luxury suites in The Haven, with 30% more suites than previous Prima Class ships. Learn more!1/15/2026 - Celebrity Cruises is enhancing the onboard cultural experience aboard Celebrity Xcel with four new Mediterranean-inspired festivals in its immersive Bazaar venue for summer 2026 European sailings.
The festivals — Opa (Greece), La Dolce Vita (Italy), Salud (Spain) and Silk & Spice (Morocco/Turkey) — bring local traditions, cuisine, music, craft workshops and entertainment to life at sea. The Bazaar blends onboard experiences with the destinations the ship visits, offering artisan markets, hands-on activities, culinary showcases and pop-up performances tied to each region’s culture.
Celebrity says the festival lineup is designed to extend destination immersion beyond port calls into sea days, with regional dining highlights through its open kitchen Mosaic and casual Spice concepts. Guests can also take part in cooking classes and dance demonstrations.
Celebrity Xcel’s European season features seven- to 11-night voyages from Barcelona and Athens, with options to explore iconic cities like Santorini, Mykonos and Lisbon. Learn more!
Work underway includes routine technical servicing, refreshed public areas and stateroom updates. A major highlight is the introduction of a new self-service food hall concept, the High Tide Market, which replaces the ship’s traditional buffet with multiple themed dining stations aimed at offering more variety and a modern casual dining experience.
After completing the drydock, the 1,300-passenger ship will resume its year-round short cruise schedule from Port of Palm Beach, including three- and four-night itineraries to Nassau, Key West and Freeport.
