2/19/2026 - Royal Caribbean has recently updated its list of prohibited items to include smart glasses devices, such as glasses or sunglasses that can record video and audio. Guests who fail to comply may have their devices confiscated by ship security, so it’s important to be aware of this rule before boarding. In addition, new regulations in Mexico have come into effect regarding vaping. Since January 17th, the use, marketing, import, and sale of e-cigarettes and vaping devices are banned. While vaping is still allowed in designated areas on Royal Caribbean ships, bringing any vaping device—including refillable, disposable, or non-nicotine versions—off the ship into Mexico can result in fines of up to $12,500.
