Royal Caribbean Status Match: What Cruise and Casino Players Should Know

Royal Caribbean Group makes it easier for loyal cruisers to enjoy benefits across its three cruise brands: Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea.

Through the Royal Caribbean Group status match program, eligible members of Crown & Anchor Society, Celebrity Cruises Captain’s Club, and Silversea Venetian Society can have their loyalty status recognized across all three cruise lines. 

How Royal Caribbean Group Status Match Works

If you are currently a member of more than one Royal Caribbean Group loyalty program, Royal Caribbean will verify your information and match your status based on the applicable status equivalency chart.

Once your information is verified, your matched status may take up to 7 days to appear. If your status changes, you should receive an email from the program where your new matched status has been applied.

It’s important to note that loyalty points are still earned within each individual brand’s program and existing points cannot be combined across Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea. However, Royal Caribbean Group has introduced Points Choice, which allows eligible guests to choose which Royal Caribbean Group loyalty program receives points earned from a qualifying sailing.

Status Match Benefits

While your status may be recognized across Royal Caribbean Group brands, benefits can vary by cruise line. Some perks may only be available to guests who earned status directly through that brand’s loyalty program, rather than through a status match.

Matched status does not currently expire under Royal Caribbean Group’s program rules, unless the membership is deleted, removed from an eligible partner relationship, or revoked due to program or guest conduct policy issues.

Royal Caribbean and MGM Rewards

Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society members can also enjoy benefits through Royal Caribbean’s partnership with MGM Rewards.

The tier level you receive with MGM Rewards depends on your current Crown & Anchor Society status:

Crown & Anchor Gold = MGM Rewards Sapphire

Crown & Anchor Platinum = MGM Rewards Pearl

Crown & Anchor Emerald, Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Club = MGM Rewards Gold

Benefits vary by MGM Rewards tier and may include access to select discounts, entertainment offers, hotel benefits, and resort perks. However, not every MGM benefit applies to every matched tier. For example, resort fee waivers are generally associated with higher MGM Rewards tiers, so it’s best to review your exact MGM Rewards benefits after your tier has been matched.
