The eye in the sky sees it all!! Security staff are on it and the casino operates with a high degree of integrity. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is reasonably priced and very good. I have to recommend against bringing kids as this is not a family friendly place.

Reserved a King room, upon check in we were told they were out and they only had two queens. If we wanted two queens, that's what we would have reserved. They were not apologetic at all. The room was nice but not very clean, dust on everything and the air vents looked like they had not been cleaned since it opened. The a/c also did not work in our room. I would not recommend the hotel or the Fireside Restaurant, casino was nice though.

Customer service was great! Rooms were nice! Food was good. I give five stars for those things. BUT... Housekeeping needs to do better, better cleaning and a little pride. Tub was dirty, needed vacuumed, and dusted bad! But, overall, was amazing. Will be back!

Overnight stay at Ameristar thru URComped
We were given a deluxe room that was very spacious, clean and accommodating. There is even a coffee bar setup in the room for that first early morning cup before you wander to the casino. There were a lot of different slots (which I mostly play) but the table games were jumping with lots of hooting and hollering going on as well. We enjoyed a nice steak dinner at the Timberline Grill right there within the complex, and were impressed with the cleanliness and availability of a 1st class place in Blackhawk to enjoy gambling in. VERY safe, security at both entrances of the casino, so no problem with vagrants/homeless wandering thru casino areas at all. Would enjoy going again! Won a $1000 jackpot on a bonus spin on the Quick Hit machine!

I love the mt. Pine suite. The room is gorgeous and the tub is amazing. I only wish house keeping cleaned a little better, especially at Ameristars prices
