Hotel Nevada and Gambling Hall, also known as the Historic Hotel Nevada and Gambling Hall, is a hotel and casino located at 501 Aultman Street in Ely, Nevada.
The Hotel Nevada opened in 1929, and was the tallest building in the state until 1935. Many celebrities and politicians have stayed at the hotel since it opened. The hotel-casino has changed ownership numerous times during its history, and was closed temporarily in 1986, because of a local economic downturn. The Hotel Nevada was sold to Bert Woywood and Paul Kellogg in February 1994. After 20 years, Woywood sold his ownership stake to Gaughan Gaming in February 2014.

Great experience staying here! The staff were very friendly and helpful! We had car issues and the front desk made sure our room was available to us for mutiple days if needed. Thank you for a great, stressfree stay!
Decent place. Only 4 star due to no elevator and the fact they charge your credit card up front. As a disabled veteran. No elevator is a killer. Please. We like your hotel. Install an elevator. We saw several guests having issues like us.
If you find yourself in Ely, skip the chain hotels and head straight for the Prospector. The staff was incredibly friendly and the place is extremely pet-friendly. Very clean and modern rooms with super nice pool and spa area.
Neat hotel, full casino in the main area. Nicely appointed rooms. Good rate for motorcycles ;)
Food was pretty good.
We did the Loneliest Highway the next day. Its a passport run with a certificate along Hwy 50. Check with Nevada Tourism if interested.
It'd be a run to here then Vegas or Reno, maybe both.
