Captain's Table Buffet

We love to go on Friday nights because the Captain's Buffett upstairs is usually buy one get 1 which is a killer deal because they have some awesome food! And dropping 20 bucks or so in the slot machines is enough for me. Good time here and there.

Captain's Table Buffet

Most of the food was decent. Plus the fact that it was half price for people over 50 plus for the month of July. So it was actually a great value for the food you got. Our waitress was very nice also her name was Tammy. She did a good job.

The atmosphere is nice. The staff is courteous and friendly. The fried chicken at the buffet is delicious. But the slots are still very tight. I've read some of the reviews and I totally agree about the slots. You definitely need to loosen them up some.

Captain's Table Buffet

Buffet cool for the price. I'm editing review to respond to owner's. We ate on a Friday evening around 6 p.m. We watched a Cardinal's game and hoped to enjoy some seafood. Unfortunately, Saturday's are the seafood buffet day. We were there so we stayed to eat.The food had great potential but the buffet temperatures are so high it dries the food out. I asked the cashier / hostess could I order crab legs and pay an additional fee. She said they didn't serve them. This is the issue I with her response... As we were entering the boat the t.v.'s were advertising add crab legs for an additional $10, when you purchase a buffet. We didn't make a big fuss about it. We ate and enjoyed the game. P.S. the waitresses were attentive and friendly. I love seeing them in their Cardinal gear!

It's always fun when you win, and not so much when you lose. Lady luck is a fickle mistress! Older crowd most days, weekends are packed and loaded with fun. Live music, good ears, and a friendly group of employees make for a nice experience anytime you go.

Captain's Table Buffet

Review of the event space. Meeting room was fine, if a bit cavernous. Decorated in the same bright, vibrant (some say garrish) color scheme as the exterior. Professional stage & lighting setup. Top notch A/V system hindered by the high-ceilinged room; sound design was not a consideration. Excellent staff & food service. Located just inside the main entrance; no overt indication of gambling going on around the corner, if that's a concern for your meeting. Nice place for a group event.

Captain's Table Buffet

parking really sucks here ...horrible. However, they have made a lot of huge strides to update/upgrade the Casino..... They respond. The dining in the Buffet is my favorite in St. Louis and it has the added bonus of the best view and place to watch a sunset in the region through the windows of this old time riverboat style windows ....hands down value. For years I was spoiled by Las Vegas food and always measured all local buffets on that standard, it was silly to do that...nothing compares to LV buffets. Best buffet in the region. They still have only 2 base nickel poker slots, (.25, .30, .35) are max bets? Hollywood has 25 or 30 on each side, River City has that bank of them with the Keno built in back by the Burger place, Ameristar has them in non-smoking and smoking all over the second tier. The Lumiere has them, maybe 30 to 50? That place across the river in Illinois has 0 ..... The new 8 machines are bar top types with $1.25 per hand minimum bet for the max, .25 is (1 credit)?
