The new Beacon Tap is phenomenal. Weekly specials with weekly activities like bags, trivia, Bingo etc makes this tavern a must go. They have a crazy awesome patio and tons of interior space with more tv's than Best Buy. The service is freaking solid. Super friendly. They servers know the menu and drinks to a science.

Really upgraded the place since 4 years ago... food was good. But loved their nachos from back when... wished they would have kept the original nachos on the menu!!!

Des Plaines is becoming one of the best places to eat in the suburbs, and The Beacon is a major contributor to that! You'll likely be so impressed by the food that you'll order something extra to take home. Do not pass up the appetizers! Anything on the menu that is smoked is definitely a must-try, but the smoked wings are easily the first thing I'd recommend.

Really good food and service. Lots of healthy and comfort food options. The value is great-$3 pints even. The salads are just as good as the burgers. Good neighborhood bar with some cool extras. Definitely coming back.

Enjoyed a buffalo chicken pizza on the patio. A great place to have lunch and spend some time outside. They were renovating the patio, looking forward to see the final product. Will go back again.

Things are looking great after the remodel. The trivia Wednesday night trivia is tons of fun (every 3 Wednesday is theme trivia, all questions have a theme). I have gotten great service and food every time I have been in. Would recommend and will be back.

Newly remodeled. Food is good, specials daily and we had the best server. Lots of TVs for watching sports and they have volleyball and bags outside during the summer. Nice local place

Over priced food and drinks with very rude management. Also, every time there the food was under done or cold and super salty. The servers are okay, but the place overall is pathetically trying too be something they are not. Which gives an aura of uncomfortable pretentiousness. Many friends and family have said that this place is a no go, but I had to find out for myself. And you know what, they were right! Lots of other great places to enjoy and discover in our area! Cheers!

Cool place! Tommy the manager is super sweet. Great service. Quick to cut our any drama. All together a family feel. Everyone is very kind and welcoming. They also had a pretty great band!! I had an awesome time. Prices are also very fair.

Went there on a Saturday night with two kids. I have been waiting to find a place like this since I moved to the area. Our family was welcomed on a Saturday night at 7:30 pm when kids are often frowned upon. Good selection of beer and drinks at reasonable prices. Food was also very reasonable. Very family friendly. Good neighborhood bar. My only improvements: bigger menu with more than sandwiches and pizza (the pork on my garbage nachos was great...maybe more BBQ plates) and we had a couple mess ups on the order...but everything was made right. The wait staff and manager/owner were extremely gracious and friendly. We'll be back.
