My wife and I are at the Crab Buffet the other night. The buffet had a variety of options and most of what I tried was really good. The crab was good, crawdads were good, mussels were good, dessert (chocolate pie) was good. The prime rib left a lot to be desired, was similar in taste and texture to Thanksgiving pork. One complaint: they didn't have the nut cracker that most Crab Buffets provide for opening shells. All they had were the plastic tools that have a flat edge and a sharp edge. I guess too many of the Shell crackers were stolen? Most of the time this was not an issue but for the crab claws that have a thicker shell it made for a challenge. For a buffet that sets you back almost $40 they should be able to replace lost/stolen materials.

Ate late night dinner at Bella's. My party was seated immediately. The waitress was busy, but attentive. I order the Cali Chicken sandwich. It was a little on the bland side. Bi added salt and pepper which helped. I had an Arnold Palmer. The bill with tax and tip was $15. Overall, it was a decent experience.

Loved this place! Only downfall was that the pool was being worked on and had been drained so we didn't get to swim, however, the hotel next to us offered to let everyone use theirs. Rooms were spacious and clean, food was good, lots of parking spaces, and the casino was great! Our room overlook the river which was a major plus!

I occasionally go Ameristar, three to five times a year. I have always been treated like a King. Even though I don't really care to play slot machine l don't have the money to play. I take fourty dollars and will be there over 3-4 hours. It is a place to go when you need to unwind. The live entertainment is great and free to dance or just listen. I always have a great meal and is always comped. You don't have to spend any money to have a really great time. Take advantage of coupons the casino send free via email. Your birthday is very special for one as coupons for food and play are very awesome. How many times do you and me get waited on hand and foot because the casino wants everyone to have a great experience. So leave your credit card home and enjoy you will find out that the casino just is so happy that you are enjoying your self

Unless you win a free buffet while playing at the casino, I wouldn't recommend eating here. Honestly even free you get what you paid for so fore worned. My wife and I ate here and all was a let down. Overcooked, undercooked, hot food that was cold, bland food, food that tasted like it came from a packet or frozen. At $52 for two people, I was expecting at least actually kitchen cooked food. I'm still trying to figure out how the prime rib tasted like processed ham, and not a expensive one either. To sum up, it sucks. Go to golden corral for a buffet, or really go anywhere else. If you lose in the casino count yourself a winner as long as you don't eat here. Sorry, rant over.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE TATTOOS. Customer service was absolutely horrible. Supervisor and machine attendant would not even look at me and rolled their eyes at me when I had a problem with a machine over ONE DOLLAR! They did not greet me with a smile, a hello or anything, they just snapped at me and said “what do you need.” They were talking about my tattoos, the one employee said to the supervisor, “did you see his prison tattoos?” to each other loud enough for another patron to hear. The woman who also overheard the derogatory comments looked at me then almost said something to the employees and then shook her head at me. I do have tattoos but they are not prison tattoos. This is discriminatory behavior by Ameristar as well as extremely rude customer service. I will never patronize this Casio again. Their supervisors need to be trained on proper etiquette in the customer service field. I do not advise anyone to patronize this establishment if they expect to have a good time and be treated courteously and not like you are a pain in the butt because that is their job.

Plenty of parking, short walk to the boat. Really enjoyed the atmoshpehere and the wide variety of machines available. Also had an issue accessing my rewards and staff was very quick to resolve the problem. Free sodas and coffee beverages are complimentary. Wonderful quality for all styles. I was a newcomer and first time, staff and guests were both helpful showing me the machines and answered any questions I had.

I visited Ameristar to spend some time at the casino. The security was friendly and the accommodations were pleasing to look at. It is obvious they have recently done some redecorating. Would've been better had I won.

More like 3 and 1/2 stars. The room was great and the bed was amazing. The problem was the water pressure in the shower. There was barely a trickle of a stream of water coming out and the water is very hard. Before I even soaped up I felt as if I was already soapy. You know the "takes forever to get the soap off" showers? Well you won't get it off here. Water is the hardest I've ever seen at a hotel like this. Could have gotten better water pressure and softer water at the motel 6.

First trip ever to a casino, went to this one because friends from work recommended it. Greeter at the entrance was friendly and recommended a free games to us, we ran across her again later and she asked how we were enjoying it. Drink prices were kinda high but the pop was free when we ordered it from the slot machines. You can smoke inside too which is different, beats having to leave and come back each time. Totally going back again. But all in moderation, you can burn alot of cash here real fast!
