My company used the Barona Event Center and found it to be a beautiful and picturesque location to have an event with out community partners and The only issue we found is the event coordinator didn't let us know that the Barona property is not allowed to have members of the media. We would have to have 2-3 weeks to receive approval. They did not tell us this in advance. It was told to us the day of. Great location, just be cautious if you are looking to partner with the media. Let them know in advance.

I had an absolutely terrible experience. I called to ask about the price of the buffet problem to going to the resort. I was told that with my players club card, the price would be $23.99. When I got to the cashier, she told me that in order to get the discount I must go back into the casino and earn 500 player points just to get the discount. I then asked to speak to the manager, who proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and that the gaming commission sets that and he can't do anything about it. This is of course completely false because California does not have a gaming commission. It is their own management driving ridiculous policies like this. Barona has lost a long time customer due to not only their ridiculous policies but their absolutely horrific customer service. Truly terrible experience.

Barona has a warm and friendly staff. There is a good selection of slots and table games. The restaurants are delicious including having probably the best buffet in San Diego. The hotel is also very nicely appointed. Although Barona is small compared to the large Vegas casinos, it offers a more intimate and just as high-quality of an experience.

The grounds and scenery around in the hotel side of the casino was beautiful. They have a pond and a beautifully landscaped surrounding. At night the trees light up to give it a romantic feel. I did not like that the TV in our room was small and outdated and that there were no wall sockets to charge our cell phones in close to the nightstand. The service from the hotel staff was amazing and by far the greatest customer service I have experienced in a while.

Very friendly people. You walk past them and there wasn't one that didn't greet you hello. The fiance and I just walked around and checked everything out. Hotel looks nice had a haunted mansion feel but clean and cool. Lot of people gambling and it sounded like a lot of people were winning a good amount of money compared to another casino that we recently went to. The tornado box filled with cash seemed fun but no one was in it. The food court area looked good. Went there during father's day but didn't seem too busy. It's been years since I went to the buffet but I can't believe the price of the buffet nowadays. $50 for father's day but normally $42. I'm not a club member or anything so not sure if it's "discounted" if you're a member.. but the thing is buffets are around $30 -35 in the evening so.. technically it's not a discount if they do offer it to the members.

Very nice hotel and casino. The people are friendly and helpful. They do offer some services like hand car wash that were unexpected but wonderful to receive. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. An unexpected find. Well worth it.

Didn't stay in the hotel this trip, but the wife I stopped by to play and grab a bite to eat. The layout inside and out was beautiful. Every worker I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Will possibly stay there the next time we're in town from Arizona. I loved being in the mountains and feeling the nice breeze... So different from the beach(and desert), and very relaxing and refreshing.

Awesome buffer and nice casino. First time we've been here and we wondered why we haven't been before. When we first arrived and parked we had a shuttle pick us up right away and take us up to the front. They seem to run continually 24 hours a day. The buffet was outstanding. If your a 🦀 lover this is the place to go. Endless mountains of 🦀 for you to enjoy and they even crack it for you so it's easy to open. They have all the usual high end buffet items like prime rib, seafood as well as specialty stations like the BBQ, asain and desserts. I really liked the warm chocolate chip cookies with ice cold milk. Yeah it isn't cheap at 90 bucks for two but you really do get your money's worth. Definitely going back again.

Absolutely beautiful Resort and Casino including a game room many options for dining a golf course- driving range -putting greens- a lovely pool and jacuzzi open from 7 a.m. till 10 p.m. I highly recommend taking the time to relax. there is even a chapel if you want to get married. And of course what makes me happy about any place they're very pet friendly. The grounds are expensive and very beautiful there are many places to explore and discover including a hidden Rose Garden with a pergola I'm not going to tell you where it is you must find it . :-) Security and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and the security make you feel very safe and comfortable there are many shuttles from the parking lot to the hotel and the casino so don't worry if you have to park deep in the parking lot. I hope this review is helpful and that you have a fun and memorable time. Tommy -Siera and of course Apollo

Barona is a great place to go. They're restaurants and food are fantastic. They try to go above and beyond to make your experience good. Their Buffet is the best buffet I've been to. And since they've remodeled it there is a larger non-smoking section. It is just a fun place to be.
