We had a great time at the Jailhouse Motel and Casino! A great spot to rest while in route to Las Vegas. The steakhouse had excellent food and service. The bar was awesome too! Definitely want to come back to see the town's wildlife/historical areas and we would definitely stay here again!

My stay was lovely, the room was nicely furnished and very clean. The maids came every day and kept the place spotless. Staff was always obliging and there is free coffee in the mornings.

My room was clean everywhere but the comforter on the bed wasn't washed between guests. Ours had stains and what looked like frosting smeared on it but the the sheets were clean and the beds were comfortably. The room had been updated recently. At check in the desk agent said the hotel is haunted but hadn't heard anything about our room, 106. We didn't have any other options for hotels in Ely since everywhere was sold out so we took it. I felt fine in the room but my husband got creepy vibes and so did pur daughters. He was awakened in the middle of the night by something touching his arm and the hair was standing straight up. He said it was very cold in front of him even though the room was at a comfortable temperature and he wasn't by the window. He was awakened again but this time with pressure on his legs like something was sitting at the foot of the bed. My daughter woke up with an ice cold face even though she was warm in her blankets next to me and her sister. She said she saw a shadow move in the bathroom in the morning. My oldest was on the side of the bed by the wall and she felt like something was next to her at some point in the night. My husband said he was wide awake after being awakened twice and felt like something was in the room with us the whole time... also we heard what sounded like someone trying to.open our door with their key card not working or just trying to open it without one randomly throughout the whole time but I don't think it was anything living. Nice enough stay if you don't mind ghosts!

If you are looking for a very inexpensive place with clean beds and bathrooms this is your place. It is very dated and I wouldn't walk around in the room barefoot. The carpet in our room sorely needed cleaning. As for the Steak House, my husband's prime rib was excellent. My rib eye on the other hand was very rare and charred. As it took over an hour for our food to come, I surmise that my order was forgotten for a time and then cooked over really high heat for a short period. I did not send it back as I didn't want to wait another hour.

Clean, quiet, friendly service, easy parking and really good mattresses! Right in downtown Ely so you can walk to the many restaurants and shops or just to walk off a good meal. The cell block steakhouse is excellent!

Great dinner, steak cooked perfectly, salmon tasty with generous portions. Jared was attentive and very helpful. Great setvice.

Wow, this was a really cool, clean motel. There were a couple of stains but everything else felt super clean. I loved the town and everyone was really genuine. If i needed to come back to Ely, Nevada i would stay here again. Keep up the great work :)

Perfect grilled moist salmon. Beautiful twice baked potato with bacon. Fresh with a crisp bite steamed asparagus. The hostess was lovely. Lori our waitress is wonderful! Thank you Jail House Cell Block! Perfect evening.
