The meal was heavenly, the service excellent, and the view is wonderful, too! If it's not too hot, ask to be seated outdoors. You won't be disappointed!

I can’t say much other than AMAZING! The private event was amazing. The views are breath taking. The food is exquisite! Drinks are amazing. Again, amazing. If you have the opportunity to experience this, you have to do it! This is one of those once in a life time experience.

While visiting Las Vegas a few years ago we wanted to try some fine dining so we went with Rivea. It is by Alain Ducasse so I thought it would be a good place. The restaurant is located at the top. The view is nice if you are able to get a table by the window otherwise you are stuck looking at other people enjoying their view. The menu had your typical fine dining choices of caviar, truffles, lobster, etc. The service was fine as well as the decor, but the food did not blow me away or really capture my taste as something that I could say wow that is good. For me, it wasn't even that good and I certainly should have had something I liked for what I was paying for. I would have thought for such a highly rated restaurant that I would love the food and wish that I could eat fine dining more often. I left knowing that I would never go back again and that I would not recommend the place to anyone.

My husband and I visit Vegas several times per year, and finally made it to Rivera after talking about it for quite a while. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere is amazing (great at sunset), the service was impeccable, and all of the food was delicious. Our favorites were the lobster risotto and the crab salad. We also felt the food was reasonably priced compared to many of the other high end MGM restaurants. Ask for Christopher as your head server and you will not be disappointed!

Ok people. If I could give 6 stars to counter balance the few recent reviews of 3 stars and 1 star I've spotted - I certainly would. First off - the comments from a few reviewers of bad or inattentive service is ludicrous. At my dining experience here, I had no less then 5 different people waiting and checking on me. They we kind, courteous, friendly, and seemed to genuinely want to know how my meal was going. Next - I ordered the 5 course tasting menu (with 4 different 1st courses - so in effect 9 different tastes!). Price of the tasting menu was $115 - extremely reasonable for a top flight restaurant. How was the food? Excellent. Every dish that was brought to the table was lovely. Lovely presentation. Lovely texture. Lovely flavor. And I didn't even get to the atmosphere. Which was also lovely. Bottom line is I'm not sure what restaurant these other reviewers were at - but I find it hard to believe they were at Rivea.

The perfect romantic dinner in Vegas. We sat outside on the patio overlooking the strip. The food was amazing!! We had steak, duck, and a few appetizers. Everything we ordered was perfect! Definitely recommend!!

A great meal. I stuck to small plates which seemed to be the thing to do. Octopus salad, marinated seabream, and paccheri pasta were all stellar. Try to get a table with a view!
