Cabana Café

Our car window on the 3rd floor parking garage got smashed. Glad we didn't have anything valuable. Casino and hotel are nice. We left a bag with clothes in our room when we checked out and when we called to get it back, housekeeping threw it away. Disappointed. Security is top notch though. They are reviewing surveillance cameras. No winnings though.

The Sands offers an average at best casino experience. It is easy to locate/access to and parking is free. The casino floor is average at best, offering most of your typical machines and games. I tried the buffet and it was good enough for the price, nothing to write home about.

Throughout the years I've been to Reno or a hundred times. First time staying at Sands Regency and the definitely the last. To keep it short, the straw that broke the camel's back was getting back into my own room late at night when everybody was asleep. We had 2 adjacent rooms both registered under my uncle's name. In the middle of the night, when everybody was asleep, I couldn't get back to my room, because, my key was not programmed properly. I went down to register counter 2 program my key. They said that my key is expired and the only person who can get it is the person who registered in the hotel. I provided them the name of the registrant, their address, the exact time we registered and offer them to ask any security questions that they may have. To no avail. I ended up invading my uncle and aunts privacy, waking them up, going to the room to mine to get some sleep that night. A lengthy and awful experience because of a mistake they made where this simple magnetic key. And the worst part was they insisted on blaming me for having an expired key.

Went there to have Christmas dinner with my kids. The food selections aren't that great but decent enough. Gumbo soup is bland. Prime rib is decent, would be better if they have someone who can slice a piece evenly. Dessert bar is decent just because they have the soft ice cream machine to fall back on.

I absolutely love the Sands! I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl with my dad! Since his passing, we try to come every couple of months to celebrate him! It’s the ONLY place we stay while we are in Reno! The rooms are comfortable, the staff is AMAZING! And we never have to wait for our drinks! I love the Sands! It’s our home away from home!!!

Cabana Café

Legit the WORST “hotel” I’ve stayed in. It doesn’t even deserve half a star let alone an entire star. Extremely misleading & false advertising. The pictures that this hotel shows you is NOT the hotel here. There are stains on every single piece of furniture & this is my SECOND room. The furniture is all mix matched, you get one pillow per bed, the lamp shade is ripped, and there is hair hanging from the ceiling, and the beds didn’t have fitted sheets, just a flat and then another flat on top of that... no other blankets... I wish I could post pictures of how filthy this is. I honestly cannot say enough about how HORRIBLE this “hotel” is. Take your money elsewhere. Bates Motel would be a better option honestly.

Cabana Café

This place is great for Locals to come unwind. The beers are cheap, and cold, and the service is excellent. Speaking of service The day time cocktail waitress Bonnye is absolutely AMAZING. She is always quick to arrive, always has a positive attitude, and is so very personable. I cannot recommend her enough. When you come to hang out, be sure to seek this girl out! She is such a DELIGHT

Cabana Café

Great feel to this place, comfortably classic. Very nice polite employees and the rooms are very big, much bigger than the Silver Legacy, much more gracious feel to this place. The front desk people are fabulous, quick and friendly. The young lady who helped us this afternoon was tremendous. Reno is a great city and this hotel is excellent.

The rooms were very old! We didn't even have a fitted sheet on our bed we had three flat sheets and a very thin blanket and only three pillows available. The casino is surrounded by Rundown motels that look like crack send. It is a five minute walk to the nicer casinos. It was one of the last rooms available during Jazz Fest

Cabana Café

The rooms were quite spacious and the beds were fairly comfortable. I liked that they had a little vanity area to get ready, which was perfect for our purposes. Everything was nice and clean. Staff was very nice as well, as we had a person in our group get sick. They handled it very professionally. Also love Mel's Diner for a great breakfast!
