Joe's Grill

We went here because we read they are in the top ten in Miami Beach for Key Lime pie. It is really good and you do taste the lime zest. We happen to stumble upon the "to-go" section of the restaurant. They have lots of lunch options like salad, soup and sandwiches. I opted for the Manhattan clam chowder. It was good except for sand in the soup. They need to clean the clams better before serving them. Other than the crunchy soup, this place is high class. We will come back when we visit Miami again.

Joe's Grill

Joe’s is a love affair that will never go away. It’s the quintessential Miami Beach restaurant. It’s casual but attracts people across all walks of life and even has a takeaway area when you don’t want formal service. If you told me where do I want my last meal on earth, this would be it (as long as its stone crab season). Beyond the stone crabs and the legendary dip, the home fries here are as good as any steakhouse in America and the fried calamari with key lime mayo and key lime pie are two things that should also always be ordered. If doing takeaway lunch, a simple grilled fish sandwich hits the spot.

Joe's Grill

Always love going here. The crab is delicious (always cracked for you. Saves so much trouble!), great side dishes, good wine selection, and the service was very good. Don't try to make reservations. On arrival, it's a very efficient somewhat assembly line. We always try to go early to make sure we get a seat right away. I don't know if it is as busy during the week though. I just wish they were closer!

Joe's Grill

Nifty place to have dinner. Family-owned and operated restaurant for, we were told by staff, over a hundred years. It's a $$$$ menu and probably worth every penny. My meal, and everyone in our party, was highly enjoyable. The wait staff is knowledgeable, professional and accommodating. Most waiters are male. There were couple women waiters. All dressed in tuxedos. Plan to wait. It's the place to go, especially if you want good, well-prepared stone crabs. I had the salmon. It was excellent. One member of our party has mobility issues, but was willing to wait well over an hour for a table on a Sunday night.

Joe's Grill

Great time had by our group. An impeccable seafood selection ! My wife was impressed starting with the appetizers by the quality of their oysters. The majority of our group is from Maryland and we still were wowed by the crabs. Beyond the food and the impossibly good chocolate cake for dessert was the staff. Our servers delivered a helping of "old school" hospitality. Our servers were welcoming, friendly, and entertaining. Eating at Joe's Stone Crab was like coming home to family for dinner.

Joe's Grill

Amazing place inside - proper old interior and service. Good system for waiting with a bar out front to sit in. Crab was good - but you’d hope so! - hash brown and spinach were both brilliant. But the menu is not particularly creative and you’ll struggle to find genuinely interesting sides. The menu is as old as the place and some people love that... It’s a good place and well worth going but it is pricey and a little OTT for a casual dinner.
