Cafe Orleans

For a casino I feel it is very small but it's tradition for us to stop each year on our way through. Easy to find off 77. Tables are limited but again the smallest casino I have ever visited. I would like to check out the rooms and rates just hasn't been an overnight area yet as we travel to the east coast.

The hotel needs to get with the program. My husband and I travel all over the US to different casino and resorts and Mardi Gras is the only one that does not allow kids. My daughter used to love going to the pool and Cross Lanes had plenty to do like going to the park, movies, or shopping near by. I understand that there were adults that left their kids unattended but banning kids is not the answer. The logical answer would be to have parents sign an acknowledgment that they will supervise their kids and ban the parents that violate the policy. Change the policy and allow kids again. I recommend others affected by this to voice your opinion as well!!

Omg we love Mardi Gras!!! Definitely worth the drive from wherever you are. Casino is the best, awesome staff. The resort hotel is immaculate, the rooms whichever you may get are very clean and spacious. I love the late check out as well. See you there.

Cafe Orleans

Smaller casino, but it was rather nice. Has everything from slots, craps, and blackjack to a sports book and dog racing. Stayed at the hotel and enjoyed ourselves. There is a grill and coffee shop open 24 hours in the casino. Drinks were reasonably priced and the wait staff was always coming around. Dealers at the tables were fun and outgoing.

Cafe Orleans

Awesome place. I go there a couple of times a month. I have taken advantage of the free hotel room once, it was very, very nice with breakfast included. The dealers are very nice and the place is very clean. I not been for racing and have pretty much only been there on weekdays 11-4 or so, not very crowded. The West Virginia hot dogs with slaw are awesome and so is the reuben sandwich. My friend says the burgers are good too. Love the place and anxious to return!! 5 stars! Really!

Too many machines to pick from. I like it better when it was the old dog track. The food and drink are expensive on most things but you can get a steak sandwich and fries for around 8.00 I think but like a brownie is 3.00! A drink is 2.00 or 2.50 and you get free refills but I don't know if you can take your cup out of the food area and still get refills. Ice cream is 2.00 for 2 scoops I think. The one food place is open 24 hours that's a plus. At one food place the prime rib is 18.00 is what the sign says. I think some of the things are to costly to try like the roulette, it cost me 5.00 for just 1 try! They do have a variety of things to do like the slot machines, keno, poker tables, dog and horse races and food and alcohol. You can go to the players club and sign up with your ID and a email address and they will give you 20.00 free dollars to play on but you have to be 21 and the players club is not open all night. The players club closed at midnight on Thursday when we went. The place is clean. I don't like way the set up is. I've never figured out why they changed the name to what they did but oh well. I've herd a lot of people say they do better at the smaller game rooms then here and there wasn't very many people there for a Thursday night.

We stopped by Mardi Gras Casino & Resort on our way home to Michigan from a trip South. We did not stay at the resort, but the casino was very nice. It was bigger on the inside than we were expecting and had mostly newer-looking games. Bathrooms and free non-alcoholic self-serve drink stations were easy to find. We'd definitely stop back.

Cafe Orleans

The hotel was clean, my only complaint being there was no duvet cover on the comforter and an obvious brown stain on its edge. The comforters are clearly not washed or bleached, so I felt uneasy sleeping with just a thin sheet between my body and something dirty. There's complimentary breakfast until 10am with made to order omelettes at the buffet (bring dollar bills for a tip), cereal, fruit, danish, toast, and bagels. The breakfast staff was extremely friendly. I'd recommend signing up for the Player's Club at the casino. You get $20 to use on slots just for signing up with your email.
