Fat Noodle is in Star City, casino level. It is a restaurant by Luke Nguyen, serving primarily Vietnamese food as well as some Thai dishes. We tried the salt and pepper silken tofu for our entree, fried with fresh chilli and garlic. This was extremely good. For the mains we had the fat pho noodles - the chefs signature beef broth with thinly sliced Angus sirloin and brisket, bean sprouts and rice noodles. The flavour was a bit off, too much star anise I think. We also had the bun Rieu - blue swimmer crab and pork meat ball, Vietnamese ham, puffy tofu, mixed herbs, cabbages, spicy shrimp a paste, rich tomato and vermicelli noodle broth. We waited a long time and our dining partner got told his would be 25 minutes longer. His wok beef took over 45 minutes which is pretty bad given the size and level of busyness.

Ok place to eat but not great. Noodle are passable but there is much better available in Sydney. Being surrounded by the glow of poker machines and dazed people throwing money is a bit weird.

Great food and top service! Nestled in the middle of the casino floor, Fat Noodle offers very fast service of great tasting fresh Chinese cuisine. The menu is a little limited, but all your classic Chinese favorites are there, (albeit with slightly different names). The restaurant gets popular at dinner time, so get in slightly earlier than you intend to guarantee a fast seat. That said, the queue that came up after we sat down fed through in about eight minutes. This is not a full-on restaurant, but it's not fast food either. Prices are higher than your average, but cheap considering you're in the city in the middle of the casino. Expect to pay about $30 per head including drinks. Definitely recommended.
