Pop Up at the Star

We just went to the Lyric Theatre to watch Book of Mormon. Food was ok. Just ate dumplings. Theatre was nice and well laid out. Good size. Not too big or too small. And the show was one of the best I've ever seen

Pop Up at the Star

The Star is conveniently located in a nice spot with a harbour side park across the road. Various transport options from buses to light rail. Staff are friendly and helpful. Multiple themed bars to choose from and probably the best selection of games in NSW, all the usual table games are here that you'd expect from a Casino as well as a large number of poker machines.

Went to the Star to watch the World Cup at the 24/7 sports bar. Due to lockout laws it was jam packed for the 4am match to the point that they weren't letting people in past 3.30. On one hand it really does suck that it's the only venue showing games but on the other hand it was a great atmosphere if you got in. The bar was decent but arguably not big enough since it was 3 deep(probably fine normally) beer selection is OK but could be more interesting.

Went to Star Casino to watch Book of Mormons at Lyric theatre. We drove in and found parking very easy and accessible. We chose to eat at the Harvest Buffet, having not eaten there recently. Food was fresh and varied and table service was quick and friendly. It's a great selection for the price. We then we t to the theatre where the ushers welcomed us and quickly showed us to seats. After the show we walked around the casino floor noting improvements in layout and a lot of new machines. Excited car park without delay or fuss. Certainly my not a casino that can compare the Melbourne or many I ternationals, but it seems to serve its purpose and dies it well.

The Star is easy to mistake for a really fancy airport, just without planes. Its long halls with nicely presented shops and food outlets, fancy restaurants, and theatre are enough of an attraction even without going there to gamble or sleep. It's easily accessible by public transport, and has a huge car park that is possibly the best looking car park in Sydney. The car park rates are as to be expected for a casino: reasonable until you're there longer than five hours.

Presentation when you first walk in is quite professional and decorative as one would expect from a casino. Security is quite meticulous which is pretty good to have in this day and age of uncertainty for sure. Eating at Fat Noodle after a couple of sessions at the slots is always fun and layed back. Very much recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good night to hang with a few mates or people coming from overseas!!

Pop Up at the Star

Nicely laid out place with a good theatre. Good options for food, fairly expensive but the food was good. Chairs in lyric theatre were uncomfortable when used for extended periods of time. Easy access to light rail which goes to Central. Within walking distance of most popular places in Sydney.

Attended a conference in the Marquee. It is a large auditorium with good acoustics and visibility throughout. The food court offers overpriced eating options and most of the foot traffic though the building requires going through or near the casino. The casino is large and if you're loitering then you can expect scrutiny from an army of security guards. The casino itself has no visibility to outside so you cannot tell what time of day it is. The facility also houses some high end shops and a hotel as well as residences.

I visited the sports bar to watch a Football game, and my experience from arrival to departure was great. Parking is abundant and convenient, and there were plenty of signs to guide me. When I got to the sports bar there were plenty of screens and it wasn't overcrowded. There were plenty of options for drinks and the atmosphere was fantastic.

I attended a birthday dinner at the new Harvest Buffet upstairs recently. Parking was straight forward, the parking lot was very clean. The lifts to get upstairs were full and we had to wait a few times until an empty one came that could accommodate us all. The buffet was excellent! I don't think there was any food that I got that wasn't a disappointment. There was a large selection of food to choose from. Overall a pleasant experience.
