I know Greyhound racing isn't PC and people want to end it, but they treat the dogs much better now and they're beautiful creatures whose instinct is to chase a rabbit really fast (even the mechanical Harrison the Hare). They really don't seem to mind running, they certainly aren't whipped and kicked like race horses are, and no one's trying to stop that. It's fun to bet, I hope some more people step up to support it before the original American dog track becomes another lost old Florida attraction.

It was my first time in the poker room. Great staff. Inviting atmosphere. Would definitely return there instead of the casino. You feel like a local and everyone knows each other. Oh and winning didn't hurt either ;)

Not much of a gambling family although we do enjoy spending a day at Derby Lane with our NY family when they visit. Exciting to watch the greyhound of our choice in each race as they race for the finish line. I even won $3.80. Like I said, not much of a gambling man with my paycheck.

Easy parking. Circa 1925 has an amazing menu for apps, entrees, and desserts. Great service. Such a fun atmosphere. Well kept grounds. Totally recommend.

This may not be fair because I am not a big gambler. However I did not really enjoy the food, it was much like cafeteria style food. The positives are that there is plenty of parking and there were no crowds we went on a Friday night. You can go gambling for poker tables and things like that if you do not want to gamble on the dogs. You are far away from the track but can see with the televisions at each table they are large and you are able to see other places that have horse races and bet on them if you choose.

Awesome!!! 1st time going and it was a great experience. I even won some money betting. And the casino is great as well. The drinks are not expensive and the service is good as well

It was fun. I went to the track alone but wasn't alone long. Met so many nice people there for the horse race. It felt like a big family gathering. Would've gave 5 stars but for the 2 grouchy bet takers behind the counter. There were 3 in total, sadly 2 of them were rude.

Tonight we celebrated my daughter's graduation at Derby Lanes. The staff and the food were amazing. Thank you all for a memorable evening.

Derby Lane is 5 Stars. We have had a lot of fun watching the races. However, I was hoping to review the revised Circa 1925 Restaurant independently. Since they revised the format from an all you can eat buffet to a standard menu with salad bar the service and quality has dropped off dramatically. On our most recent visit the bar was a pig sty and the service was unprofessional. I wish they would bring back the all you can eat buffet!

Poker room is getting to the top of its game. I've played here for years but have had dealers muck my hand from right in front of me, many mis-deals, and making wrong change, etc... But the last year or so they have been top notch. They have a good bar with always some cheap beer available and the food is pretty damn good, and cheap! So yeah, they are pretty damn great now.

Having never been here I definitely wasn't sure what to expect. This place is awesome! Free entry, cheap drinks, and a great view of the track even from down below. Come have an awesome night or weekend

Been going to Derby Lane since 1995 when I am down here (Elk Grove IL permanent resident) through the Winter. Had many pleasurable Wednesday's, as alternate to no-running TBD. If any way to lose money is fun I think Derby Lane is closest. Admission price of FREE gives you more money to make selections. And there have been times when it was profitable. I think a good selling feature would be: Old Folks Reunion Day. Lot's of them around, and Give it a Two week preparatory public announcement. Newspaper, radio, TV, etc. Think that it would be a "good" gamble.

Been visiting this track on every vacation to St Petersburg for over 10 years now. A fun place to spend the evening. They offer OTB for more than dogs too, you can place bets on horses and steeplechase. The lines for the betting counters are short and the staff are efficient. The snack bar was a little overwhelmed during our last visit but they got everyone taken care of. Only the big board on the far side of the track needs a little love, but we had no trouble reading it. Can't wait to go back!
