Nice atmosphere, food was so so, my side dish of spaghetti was too salty. The chicken marsala was good. They did work with me with my allergies.

Went there last night for Valentine’s Day. Was a little nervous because of the yelp reviews. Was so pleasantly surprised. Had reservations and no problem with the hostess seating us right away. Food was soooo delicious! Literally some of the best Italian food I’ve had in south Florida. The restaurant itself is so quaint and romantic. Portions were large and worth the money. Service was great too. Will be back again.

I do not recommend! They use one Walmart tomato sauce for all foods. The quality of veal, as in fast food. Mussels smell restroom and tough. At the same time the prices like in a good restaurant. I think I was poisoned.I have not met such a terrible place for a long time. A beautiful building is deceptive.

This is a great place in Fort Lauderdale area go for Italian food. The coming here for over 20 years and the new owner has just made it even better. It was possible to make a great restaurant better he has done it

Our last night in Pompano Beach was truly splendid. From the service, to the wine, the generous portions and delicious flavors, even the tiramisu, it was all absolutely delicious! Our server never missed a beat and all of the food came out at a perfect pace. Definitely a highlight of our trip to South Florida.

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here last night in celebration of our 8 year anniversary. We were in the mood to try a new place and are always seeking to find a replacement for our previous favorite Italian restaurant that closed several years ago (Philomenas). At first, we were a bit skeptical because there were very few cars in the lot but again, it was a Thursday night, so we valet parked ($5) and went in. The walkway that leads into the restaurant is magical and if you continue walking it leads to their courtyard seating area which is an absolute dream with its string lights, trees and fountain. It’s so romantic, you feel like you’re dining in Italy! We sat inside (because it was in the high 80s) in a beautifully decorated dining area and our server, Cheryl, was so warm, attentive, personable and just plain awesome. She completely made our night! In the table next to us was a son and his elder mother. We got to speaking to them and they told us that La Veranda has been their family’s favorite restaurant for over 20 years. After dining there last night, I can now understand why. From the garlic bread, to the chicken rollatini, the food was to die for! Cheryl also gifted us with the best tiramisu we have ever tasted and a lit candle in honor of our celebration. This restaurant won us over and we can’t wait to go back for more!!! The other server, Joey, was also very friendly, helpful and whitty :) Thank you, La Veranda for the perfect anniversary dinner!

Just had dinner her last night but next weekend we are having a party there and I can't wait. Food is fabulous, great ambience and the staff are attentive!!

This place has true romantic ambience. Definitely a cute and delicious little hidden gem. I was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and never even knew this place existed until a friend told me about it. Excellent place to take a date and sit outside in the courtyard and even though it's only steps off of Federal Highway, you'll feel like you're miles away in a courtyard in Italy. And I highly recommend their grilled octopus, amazing!

I rarely eat Italian out because it is usually not very good, but I was very impressed with La Veranda. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. It was a little pricey, but well worth it.

Great atmosphere. Live music. The food was a little on the not so tasty side but nothing you cant fix with salt and pepper.

The courtyard is great in good weather. You feel like you're a million miles away from Pompano. Terrific ambiance and an attentive wait staff. I wasn't as thrilled with my meal, but the eggplant parmigian may have been a poor choice.

They say can never go back and my experience here proves it. The original tiny restaurant is no longer. I don't think the original owners would allow a iceberg salad to be served or the mixed seafood with marinara sauce to be swimming in a pool of watery sauce. Service was lacking and the food did not meet expectations. For my money I will look elsewhere in the future for Italian food.
