Exceptional great tasting food and decent service, Great Orange Sky when sun sets. I had the Beef Tenderloin and it was delicious and very tender, melt in my mouth. I gave this place 4 stars because it is very expensive (ie...$170 for elk).
While here for a birthday dinner I was not disappointed. It is a little more on the spendy side.. Their private booths with a view of the sunset made it well worth it(to sit in the private booth your bill must reach a certain amount, I don't remember the exact figure). Service was exceptional, an expectation at this price point. A really special cocktail menu was really the only thing missing, though the cocktails they did have were just okay. The birthday desert and surprise chocolates were very nice!
Excellent service and staff. They knew what we needed almost before we did. Atmosphere was eloquent. The view was incredible. My husband and I had steak and it was so tender we could cut it with a fork and cooked exactly how we wanted it. Although the steak didn't need it the assortment of sauces offered were a party for the pallet.
Perfect romantic evening! Service is superb, atmosphere is romantic and intimate. The quality of food is also amazing. The pianist in the bar area was fantastic! A perfect date !!
Been here several times. The dinners are all so excellent, and the service has always been excellent too. The sun sets have always been great, but the best ones involve clouds. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, from the West, North, and the East. This View of the mountain ranges around the valley are so great to look at. Good memories.
Great food, excellent experience. You must go out to the patio and sit by the outdoor pool as you look over Scottsdale. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Service was slow. I am not sure if it is because of my marriage when they saw my wife and I or other reason. I was called and confirmed a half moon table seating, however when we arrived at the place we were given a table and i refused it. We were given the half moon seating after waiting on the patio for 20 minutes or so. That was our time wasted. And the service was good but slow mostly. Nice view though.
Tremendous experience for my wife's birthday, overseen by our terrific server Josh, who was very attentive to my wife's food allergy. We had a private booth for a beautiful sunset view and fantastic wine and food. We started with the artisan cheese board and caesar salad with unique (and delicious) avocado Caesar dressing. My wife had the buttery 8oz beef tenderloin with sweet potato accompaniment and I had the Elk Loin, which was great taste and texture along with the cauliflower gratin. The great night was finished with a desert sampler. Lived up to expectations and already planning our next reservation.
William is a first class waiter. When Mark stopped by I explained to him our utter satisfaction and our impressed - ness of the facility he manages. This tribe is doing great business and creating a great brand. The tribe utilizes their own management techniques and the employees love to work here. This Indian community is loyal to its people and the people love to patronize the establishment. Talking Stick resort is a beacon to this region; a beautiful lace to get a cold drink in a thirsty occasion.
Excellent as always, with menus that challenge you to order beyond your comfort zone. Mike the manager helped make our most recent visit memorable. And kudos to our server Manny.
We shared our 9 year anniversary at Orange Sky Restaurant.. Our waiter, Bradford was absolutely amazing. He was so pleasant and attentive. It truly topped off our evening. He always had a smile on his face. Thank you Edward for making our night so memorable.
I have been here several times, and while this won't be an especially lengthy review, I wanted to point a few things out. The service is simply impeccable. The steak is very well prepared and I've not had a bad experience here. The staff, food, service...even the restroom, is flawless.
Bottom line, it's good, but not good enough for the price. I'm not opposed to occasionally spending much more than usual for outstanding cuisine and experience, this just missed the mark. Building faces west northwest, so you're not actually true west to see the sunset completely, person sitting to the right in the loveseat booths has a better view. The lights from the Topgolf driving range are fairly bright and definitely detract from the view. Having to walk through a smoke smelling casino is meh, no thanks. Service was good, we enjoyed the patio a bit after our appetizer and before dinner, never rushed. The food was good as well, but in the $35 to $55 (and up to $70 IIRC) main course range (no side), you can get amazing food here in greater Phoenix. This just wasn't amazing, my taste buds were not wowed. Wine list appeared solid, had a nice grenache/syrah blend, craft beer pretty much non existent (boo). Roasted carrot side slightly under cooked, gnocchi were just strange. King crab good, but suggest getting sauce on side. Lamb needed more salt and pepper before cooking. No sound break between the loveseat booths other than a thin curtain means you can hear the conversation to either side quite clearly as it bounces off the windows.
