My experience at Majestic has not been very well. I continue to come back believing the next visit will be prosperous. I drive past the Horseshoe and Ameristar casino's to get to Majestic because of the large nonsmoking area. However I now feel that playing at the Majestic Casino is a lost battle. Regular players don't have a chance of getting their names called even when you drop a ticket in the barrel. John C or John M and a few others are constantly being called. I will continue to visit Majestic but not as often. I will drive to Joliet and enjoy an entire area of no smoking. The chances for me winning there can't be any worse than Majestic a place I've patronized since the doors opened. With little to no return on my investment. It seems the stakeholders have no concern for the customer and have allowed directors and management to make decisions that has thought regarding the consumer. 24547

The rating is for the poker room and the staff. Hard to compete with one of the largest rooms in the Midwest but they try hard. Low rakes and great comps. Beat the lines. Good action.

Went to buffet. Quick and friendly service.Warmed food. Good variety. I had hot fresh baked chocolate chip cookies when visited. That was nice. Absolutely no complaints.

Compared to their competitors this place is improving quickly. I don’t gamble just play poker but this place has staff that treats you right and takes care of the players. They listen and try to accommodate you, rather than the complete opposite of what takes place in nearby poker rooms. The cocktail service here is fantastic and the asian noodle bar was surprisingly really, really good. Place needs some remodeling but on the whole it’s improving quickly.

Enjoyed our stay here. Beds were comfy, room was decent. The shuttle to the casino was great and convenient. Very friendly staff. A little dated hotel and casino. Could use a little upgrade (lights outside promoting hotel, some not working) u can tell the age of the place. But overall it was great and would stay again if in the neighborhood.

Been going to Majestic for years. Name called me two or three times out of it almost 15 years I've been gone. Machines on the right side of the boat very tight. Not enough machines to choose from. Boat on the left side is where I win most of the time when I do win.

I have been coming to MS since opening day. The C host was helpful explaining how my trip could be exciting...gift shop, food, and certain machines. I found the perfect one,Winning Touch. I had many winning days and nights I met people and we would meet for lunch or dinner. The Concerts, slots, Blackhawks, Bull player, TV stars etc. I could go on for days remembering. MS was the place for events... Hotel, swimming pool,

Rooms were clean. Building shows it’s age and could use some maintenance. Wish we had a fridge in the room. Staff is very polite. Shuttle was excellent. Casino had great machines and food options.

This is a no-frills place to gamble. Lots of old machines, outdated decor, stained table felts, lots of smoking, and a low quality buffet for comps. If you bet more than $200 a hand, you are considered a whale, and they will give you the VIP treatment. Not that it's anything to brag about, considering this casino is bottom of the barrel. I'd actually rather eat at white castle than take a comped buffet. Yeah. The food sucks that bad in the buffet. I wish their poker room had more action, like it did when Trump opened it.

Lack of insulation in the rooms with a door conjoining rooms. Heard people arguing next door. Windows were foggy. Clean rooms though. Casino was spacious.

Starting to show its age. Common area is pretty dingy. Hotel kinda reminds me of a cheap motel. Last time was there shower didn't work right. They did allow me to switch rooms. Good buffet though with a nice view of the steal mills and the Ameristar casino. Steel City Grill has some good burgers as well. Comps from their rewards program are also better than most.

The service was great. Employees working the table games were very friendly. I went to a game I had never played before (at an empty table) and the dealer explained in simple terms how to play. The pit bosses were very nice and helpful as well. Overall, I would say it was a fun experience.

That place is nasty! This was my first time there and I will not return! The carpet that covers every floor looked disgusting like it's cleaned once a year. The atmosphere is depressing it's casino boat and it should be lively to get people to play and spent money. I did not have a good time and it was not inviting to me. The restaurant was pricey for the small amount served. The evening price is based on the crab legs all you can eat. There were never enough to get all you can eat. Sorry not a good place to gamble or eat.

Sorry to say, I had looked forward to finally staying here, after literally going by on the highway dozens of times! BUT, Only reason I can give 3 stars is that the casino fine dining was excellent, and the very good quality bedding was as advertised. Room itself was truly basic and "rundown". Cracked floor tiles in bathroom bordered on dangerous. Room walls were so thin that TV at night until 3am on one side kept me up, while on other side in morning "couple getting busy" woke me up very early.

I went to Majestic Star to see what it would be like to play a slot machine. I had a sandwich on the outside of the casino. Before I boarded the casino. The sandwich was delicious. The young lady who served me the sandwich was extremely friendly. I didn't stay at the hotel but things that I saw on the casino were unbelievable. The bus to take you over was extremely rusted out. No repairs have been done on that bus in years. The seats on the the casino were cracked, the carpet looked horrible nothing has been repaired in many years. Things looked as if they were not into keeping the upkeep of the business. I believe yearly repairs stopped when Mr. Barton died the original owner of Majestic Star Casino. Whoever owns the casino now has no love for the boat. I feel as if they purchased it for the money that they receive from it.
