The Diamond Jo Casino offers a good variety of slot machines an a fair amount of table games. Of the two casinos in Dubuque it is by far the cleanest so you find at. Establishment it's hard to win. If I could change one thing I'm sure everyone would agree it would have to be the winning percentage payout I think is it about 90% for both of them for the rest of the state chimes in about 93 to 95%. So they are very low in the state probably the lowest or close to it. Has it been said the staff the service in the security always do a great job with warm greetings and anything that you would need help with they are prompt and educated

They do a great job at events, music and food. Bowling Alley is a great touch. Its odd they don't have a 24/7 poker room with Texas Hold Em or Omaha. I only play poker and the Q is always dead, poorly staffed and doesn't advertise their tournaments online-But at least Q has a poker room. They would bennefit from an organized room that took names/numbers and called when a seat was available

Came here for my birthday last month. Staff are always welcoming. It's a nice casino and had a good time. The Cherry Lanes bowling in the upstairs of the casino is a lot of fun! The River Walk is across the street behind the Grand Harbor hotel and is a nice walk when it's warmer outside.

Very limited experience at this casino... There are plenty of slot options. Table games for whatever you desire. Numerous food options, specifically a VERY good buffet. Live entertainment scheduled regularly. Full bar available throughout the casino floor. It meets all the expectations of what a casino in this region should be. Final note: Don't expect to take money home with you... If spinning slots is your thing, expect to pay for your entertainment!

I visit the Diamond Jo several times a month for work and for recreation and I always have an amazing experience. At work events everything looks wonderful, tastes delicious and have wonderful staff. For personal visits, usually concerts, I enjoy the different types of events offered and the ambiance. Great place to visit in Dubuque!

7-1-18 was our very first time coming to Diamond jo. As I expected with every casino ten thousand penny slots. That's how the casinos make their money. Anyway I enjoyed the progressive slots they had. I enjoyed the high limit section because it was not too big and I was able to locate the slot I wanted to play versus walking around for several minutes in a larger section. Me and my wife walk away with some winnings even on the first time there. We will come again.

Great place! We had a very good time. It smelled really nice despite that it is a smoking facility. We saw at least 3 people win more than $2000 in the few hours we were there. They could have used a couple of more cocktail waitresses as it was frustrating when you wanted a drink but didn't want to leave the machine.

Mississippi moon bar is a great venue for live music, I have seen many bands here since it opened. From national stars, to tribute groups, they often seem to book acts I want to see. Depending on the group, ear protection may be needed. They can be loud. Nice layout to see bands up close, and I have yet to have a bad seat. Wait staff does make reasonably frequent trips through the crowd for beverage service. When I see someone I am interested in seeing, I know that in that venue I will see them very well indeed. Looking forward to the next show already.

We really enjoy our trips there. Very professional casino. We were there for Memorial day and it would have really been proper if the management would have recognized our veterans and military during that day just something to think about. Every where I looked around I saw a veteran and I am sure they and I would like to hAve heard that.

First time visit to Diamond Jo Casino on 5-18-18 was a disaster and embarrassment to the entire establishment and their staff. Their entire computer system was shutdown. . .no new membership enrollment and no gaming payouts from machines. . .they where forced to hand payout everyone. They need to hire someone that has some strong computer technical support to prevent a similar occurrence. Lot's of unhappy patrons. . .I'm surprised more local players didn't leave and go over to Q Casino. We left not even spending an hour because it was so ridiculous waiting for staff to come around and perform hand payouts when playing between slot machines. I will credit the staff for handling the situation as well as they could.

I love the Diamond Jo casino! I have been to many casinos and I can honestly say they have the best poker table! I love to play here. So much fun and staff is super friendly! I really enjoy the conversations with the staff. The supervisors are also very friendly. The food is pretty good as well. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The comps are very good as well.

Smokey. The kitchen Buffet has great food but now requires you to play and have a rewards card to get the special price. There is a senior discount which makes the price very good. There is a wide variety of food to select from with the hot being hot and the cold cold. The desserts are a nice selection. The remodel and addition of a subway was an improvement. The new restaurant which is open is impressive and the menu looks good. I would confirm hours as the buffet is closed some evenings.
