This hotel has NICE beds... it's pretty nice and has a large lobby and restaurant..I would rate it higher if there wasn't on obvious need for updating the bathroom...exposed drain pipes under the vanity (and not the fancy kind) and what looks like mold on the tile in the hard to get to corners along the mop board...

The hotel was VERY nice. The only negative is the hot tub/pool area. The hot tub is EXTREMELY small and several guests had to wait to get in. The view was OUTSTANDING! I would definitely stay again!

Great hotel and value. Extra clean rooms with new beds and great pillows! We've stayed in almost every hotel in Dubuque and it's one of the best! Hampton Inn overrated and priced too high. Best Western too spread out and lots of transient workers stay there.

Nice and cost effective place to stay. Just remember... if your allergic to feathers you will have to deal with them when you get there. 90% of our stays here end up with a wait for pillows and bedding. My membership clearly states "No Feathers ".

Front desk was great. They were personal and professional, moved quick to get me in my room. The room was great, spacious and plenty of light. Bed was very comfortable. I had a room by the elevators, as in every hotel, it was a little noisier than usual, but they offered a sleep better package if requested. I did not find a need for that. It is close to everything,bars, restaurants, and sight seeing.

Not impressed! We were just passing thru and they gouged us $150 for a normal room. Bad parking, no free breakfast, and the older lady at the front counter on 7/19 was rude and not very intelligent. My husband wanted to put the reward points on my account and they wouldn't let him! They forced him to open a new account for no reason! Do they get kick backs or something for new accounts? Seems like. Rude rude rude!

The room was great. Hallways were wide. Lobby looked nice and the restaurant looked like it would have been a great place to eat or drink had I stopped by. Located in a good spot. Overall had a good stay!

Great location, great restaurant, comfy bed, but mechanics of A/C kept me up all night. Too loud, should have complained but was too tired. Did complain at checkout so that the next person could sleep. I still recommend this Holiday Inn location

Nice hotel and close to downtown and the casino. This visit we had a suite yet needed a little updating especially the shower. We have stayed in regular rooms and they are newly decorated

Very nice and had a wonderful experience with having my father in law in town. Were willing to work with him when he arrived a day early.

Beautiful older hotel that is being well maintained. Check in was quick. Clean, nice room. Only one problem. A train whistle woke us up at approximately 4:30 a.m. Two more trains with loud whistles followed that. If your a light sleeper like me you might want to stay elsewhere. Other then that it was fine.

It's a nice hotel. Parking is tight, but free. Overall it's nice. If I'm in the area I'd stay here again.

The hotel was clean. The interior design and architecture was beautiful. The staff was great. The food in the on-site restaurant was great. Recommended.

We stayed here to attend a wedding. When leaving the staff asked how we enjoyed the wedding. The breakfast buffet was hot and tasty. The room was tidy.

Banquet room staff wasn't friendly, the pool and hot tub were very small, and the staff didn't know how to work the banquet room TV. The bartender for the banquet room was okay. They decided to turn the TV off during the end of an important football game in order to make everyone leave the room. The night bartender at bar inside the hotel was friendly and attentive. During the evening it was hard to get a drink. Breakfast in the morning didn't taste that great. It was slow and the staff didn't seem to care.

The walls are paper thin, and we had some noisy neighbors about 2:00am, but the room was clean and the staff was friendly, efficient and professional. I would like to specifically thank two women. After we checked out, I realized I’d forgotten a bag that included a few items of sentimental value. We promptly turned around, and I called. The woman at the front desk was helpful and said she’d give me a key and I could run back up. The woman cleaning the room had already placed it in a plastic bag, ready to take to the front desk. When I told her thank you, she smiled and replied, “You’re welcome.” THIS is excellent customer service, and I appreciate it greatly!
