Beautiful, friendly and clean. Very comfortable with a beautiful view. Friendly staff in all areas of the facility. The location is perfect, close enough to everything but still has a feeling of being away from everything.

I've been twice to the spa and it has blown my mind each time! So nice and luxurious. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Marsha has been my masseuse both times and she is perfect! Highly recommend. I will never go to anywhere else for a massage! I genuinely can't say enough about this place.

Go visit and check out how beautiful the hotel is. It's a little exspendsive but worth it. If you have children you'll love the water splash area. I went to the safe place luncheon. it was so moving. I don't think after one of the speakers told her story, there was a dry eye. They raised 55,000.00. What a blessing

We needed a little vaction away from home and this place was prefect. Not to far away from where we live in Mississippi. First off the spa area is amazing and the couples massage was great. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating as well. Changed rooms because we had two twins and wanted a king. So that was very nice of them. They have an amazing pool area as well for adults and kids. Also they have two restaurants attached to the hotel so if you want you never have to leave the place. Also for the kids they have a game room, and splash pad. So if we do go back and take our kids i know they will have a great time. Last they have the 360 grill up top that csn rotated around so you can view the entire area. Very romantic place for a couples date.

A wonderful Hotel, with tremendous amenities. Fabulous food options and the on campus activities are great. The Robert Trent Jones Shoals Golf Courses are a short drive away. Marriott Conference Center is a short walk away. And is the current Campus of "Church of the Highlands Shoals". A tremendously Blessed Church with multiple Campuses across the State of Alabama. Florence is a growing City, and lots of restaurants and activities. Marriott is the Gem of the Quad Cities

Beautiful, spacious rooms, excellent views of the Tennessee river, close to everything interesting, exciting, and historic to see in the area, with all of the amenities you could ask for. Don't waste your money staying elsewhere

We ate at the 360 grill. The food was good , but I felt there could be more options on the menu. All in all it was a great atmosphere. I enjoyed my time there. Don't forget to bring your wallet.

Excellent hotel! Well appointed with an exceptionally friendly staff. The food at Swampers is incredible and the drinks pack a punch. My wife and I stayed for a quick weekend trip and plan on coming back for a real vacation. The view of the Tennessee river is a sight to see. The pool looks like a lot of fun with waterfalls and a bar on the patio. We didn't get a chance to play at the pool, but that's one of the reasons we want to visit again! Super clean rooms, great fitness center, excellent cuisine and centrally located to area attractions. If you find the shoals area of Alabama as an approaching destination, treat yourself right and stay at the Shoals Marriott.

We stayed here while visiting family/friends for a funeral. It wasn't quite what I expected but we didn't get to enjoy all the amenities. The hotel offers live entertainment, good food and the pool, although empty during our visit, was quite large with plenty of space to enjoy the pool relaxed away from others if you'd like. My only complaints were the beds could be more comfortable, Pillows need great improvement (still have a neck pain a week later) and the toilets are slow to flush. We worried ours would overflow. We did report the issue and they were going to pass it on to facility maintenance. We had no desire to change rooms as we were exhausted when we finally returned to our room after dealing with funeral arrangements, services etc. I would however stay again if needed and bring my own pillows.

If you have to stay in this area and are looking for the best option, you have found it. A lot of great memories here. The pool and restaurant are both top notch. Service is outstanding.

I took a terminally ill friend over to the area for a Steven Curtis Chapman concert and The Marriott treated us with the utmost grace and consideration. All things were top notch and what wasn't was provided just for the asking. The room, although called a "pool view" room, provided a nice view of the river damn, a beautiful background aound. The food was delicious. The indoor hot tub and pool and outdoor hot tub were great. The outdoor pool looked topnotch, although drained for the season. I hear the place is impeccable during the Christmas season. Hopefully a retuning visit is in order then, at which time I'll be able to experience the spa! (Hint! Hint! Santa!)

Absolutely wonderful customer service! Very clean rooms, and facilities. The Marriott of the Shoals is by far the nicest hotel in north Alabama. I have stayed on every floor, and the balcony view from any room is gorgeous! Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

I shared a very relaxing weekend with my husband. The spa, where I experienced the spa's signature facial was absolutely amazing. Before and after the facial, I could take advantage of the whirlpool bath, steam room, and comfortable, fully equipped shower and dressing areas. The restaurants were delicious and fun. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.The room was lovely and comfortable. We will be back soon.

We have been going to the property for 8 years or so. Mostly weekend family or couples get-away. For the most part the service has been great and the property has always been in great shape. We knew it was expensive but planned for it and had very high expectations. We have been to this property 4 times this summer with the last one being this last weekend. I must say that I can tell you for the biggest part the service was pretty decent with the exception of dinner on Sunday night at Swampers. The food quality was clearly lacking in quality and quantity, someone is really messing with the product probably in the name of cost control. For those prices, I would expect something pretty special. The worst was the service, we had to ask multiple times for both drinks and food items to be corrected and there seemed to be no sense of urgency to make things right. Worst experience we have had there...ever. All other staff were very responsive to us and helpful....pool bar, breakfast on monday, doormen, housekeeping, front desk...the pool attendant was nice but clearly pretty lazy (he would not be working for me). The property is starting to need some TLC. Exterior windows were a mess, pool chairs need to be cleaned badly, awnings on the building by the pool needs to be replaces, the hot tube was dirty and the timer was broken, key card lock did not work on the end of the building, etc. There were lots and lots of little things like that all over the place. Somebody in leadership at this property needs to have a look at this from the guests point of view. We love this place, lots of fond memories there with my family and some very special times with my wife...it is truly an escape for us. However, for the cost my expectations will always be high...I am sure that Marriott will see this post and step it up. Two years ago this would have been 5 stars for me, now it has just dropped down one star for me.
