Missing Image Of Blue Lagoon
This is the first place we visit when we landed at Iceland. After a long flight, it is so relaxing to be able to soak inside warm waters with a cuppa beer. That night we had such a great sleep! This is definitely a must visit place in Iceland. #J2ACE

This was my favorite place in Iceland and I spent 7 hours here after landing at the airport at 5 AM. Rent a car and drive the countryside. It’s amazing. Picture the blue Lagoon as a big water park, but a hot tub version. It’s amazing. Great for the skin (I have eczema and it helps). It’s got a in water bar, restaurant, relaxation room, cafe...just amazing!

My daughter and I began our European trip of a lifetime at the Blue Lagoon. It was relaxing and affordable; the scenery drop-dead beautiful. Iceland is a MUST-SEE for travelers!

An absolute must. If you already travel so far to Iceland. Go. Book in advance online. Book a massage it's something different to float in the sun on water. Have a drink at the bar. Put some silica on your face as treatment. Wade through the steam of the lagoon. Shower. And enjoy a late afternoon lunch or dinner at the restaurant. Actually a really good place. To top it off.

Came there just few hours before close. The closing time is 1.30am what is good through the summer time. Staff is lovely and very helpful but prices are still too high. Water is nice and making you to want relax more and more, water is salty. In basic package you have 1free drink and also face mask from special mud. I was in secret lagoon as well that place is 3x cheaper and water is hotter. But blue lagoon is bigger and more posh. So if you have that money go and try. A lot of American tourists there :).

It might be very touristy, but it's iconic and very well done. Floating around in the warm blue (cloudy) water, with your mud mask on, beer in hand, is an experience.

Was the end to our trip and was well worth going, however other hotsprings in Iceland are much nicer. Still had a great time, this one is the busiest and biggest setup of any of the springs, and has the most efficient changing rooms, showers, and purchasing mechanisms for the bars etc, but also the biggest crowd. Some things are just nicer with less people around and this is one of them to me. Would still highly recommend it however! Had a great time.

This was a wonderful end to our trip. It was freezing outside but the lagoon was nice and warm. We went for the luxury package which included the reservation in the restaurant but did not include food! We also got robes and slippers complimentary and the mud mask which you access when in the lagoon.

It's not worth the hype. You have to make a reservation days in advance. Even in the off season. The change rooms are way too crowded. It doesn't have the Icelandic feel of other baths. It has a feel of a super touristy place. I mean people go there in bus fulls. Lock up everything or it will go missing!

Wonderful experience that was much better than we expected. In April the tourist numbers were low, queues were short and the staff were really helpful. Good quality amenities and the water temperature was perfect. Take your swimmers, rent a towel and get a beer to drink in the warm waters. Well worth the cost (a rare comment in Iceland) of the ticket which included all of this and the return bus trip.

Great experience. We went in the evening so it was dark but quiet. The lighting gives it a super relaxing atmosphere. The place is well organised with lockers and staff is present all the time if you need anything. We'd had a very long day out and had got soaked earlier so the hot bath was most welcome. Even under a light rain and 2°C it was a delight.

I went to the blue lagoon in 2004. It was amazing. The staff was friendly, there weren't many tourists, and there was no wait. Blue lagoon in 2004 gets 5 stars. This year I went again (2018) and the experience was different, there were some nice changes and some not so nice changes. The negatives: The prices have increased dramatically for everything probably bc of how big a tourist attraction it has become. Waits are long. You have to book far in advance now. The mud mask for sale has doubled in cost and is half the size. The staff was not as friendly this time around. The positives: They added a swim up bar. They made the locker areas a little more private. They changed the mud station from a little wood box to a mud bar. Overall, the blue lagoon is absolutely beautiful. It's an experience you can't get anywhere else. Even with the increased prices, I still think it is worth it to go.
