I have always had a great experience at hollywood casino from the friendly staff to the fantastic food. Me and my friends come in about once a week and we always run into Tori in security. Hollywood does a great job picking their employees when they see thousands and Tori can remember all of our names each time. I even see her stop older women when they enter the casino and ask if they are 21 just to make their day. She's fun,friendly,and serious about her work. Good job Hollywood!!

I come here every month for work and I have always had a good experience. The rooms are nice, sometimes they have a little smoke smell but not awful. The restaurants are good and the casino floor is always fun. Staff are always helpful. Can't beat the price for rooms.

Everything was great except the room we had was not too clean. Had a half eaten cookie wafer on the floor by the bed and two dirty wet wash clothes hanging from the magnified mirror in the bathroom. Only had two towels. Not happy at all. Good thing it was a complimentary room , if I would of had to pay the price tag on these rooms I would of insisted someone get suspended from their job . I feel I should be compensated since I myself paid a hefty price for these so called complimentary rooms that don't get cleaned or stocked properly. So you asked for my take on my stay, I really never complain but the past two months here has been very disappointing and checking out other casino's to give my business to. No respect or appreciation here. very sad. And believe me my friends will follow. I'm being generous by giving a two star rating.

We had decorated a room for my mom birthday. The rooms were nice and the staff was great and accommodating. I wish i had pictures to post. We decorated the room with roses and a small food bar. She loved it! Parking wasnt bad, the view was great.

Worst casino experience ever. Playing blackjack with a friend, we were both on a good winning streak and having a great time. Get a tap on my shoulder and it is security telling me that I have to be quiet. Really? Win but shut your mouth I guess. A few minutes later after a couple more wins, the security guard taps my friend on the shoulder and instructs him that he now has to leave! He was being no louder than many other people who won, but I guess because we were winners the casino can't allow that to happen. I have been in casinos all over the country and in other countries. Never, ever seen or experienced the same treatment in any of them. I vowed never to return.

Me an my friend went there for dinner at the buffet. Man couldn't believe all the different kinds foods. When we walked in I noticed the desserts bar. wow just looking at the desert bar you gained a 100 pounds. The food was good an I was very full when I left there. Will be back.

First casino I had ever been to I love it. I have my own lucky machine, and every time I walk in there I put at least $7 in the machine and I'll win the minor jackpot or close to it. Which may not be much but, I love it. It's the gambling thrill I guess:)

I always love visiting this Casino and will come here for many years. Even though the name has changed from what it originally was. It just depends on which night you go and what you play also if you are gonna hit there too. No complaints from me. :-)

Always stopped there going through St Louis. Sometimes stayed a few days. But we drive a semi and stopped today only to find no parking for us. I saw an answer about damage to the lot....the lot is obviously old and now just empty. Why not make a gravel lot that is truck accessible? Most casinos manage to upkeep lots for trucks. Many even offer shuttle service if the lot is too distant so trucks must be profitable. To keep people out who just park there and do not use the casino, hotel or restaurants....why not charge for parking and reimburse if a set amount is spent? You have made your facility unavailable to us now.

Wonderful selection of choices. Seafood Pasta and Shepherd's Pie were outstanding. Offering guest a better $$ will make it even better.

The new Suites are gorgeous! It's very sad that they took the bathtubs out of the regular rooms. That was 90% of the reason for staying there. I'll still go there and play but only get a room when there's a concert in town that we're going to... and how many drawing should one person be allowed to win and enter. I don't know who the guy was that was drawn in every drawing the last Saturday in April.... he really win 8 jackpots? It was By Invitation Only did he get 8 invitations? How can you be picked that many times?

We spent the weekend in St Louis and booked a room at lumiere place. After experiencing such rudeness and unhelpfulness there we decided to stop in at Hollywood casino for the evening for some gambling. From the moment we arrived everyone was amazing. The guys in valet were friendly and quick. The casino staff was equally friendly and attentive. Literally every interaction was pleasant. I had fun even though I lost money all night. My partner did well at the tables however. I won $100 on the last machine I played right before we left so the evening ended on a high note. I was wishing we were staying here instead of the underwhelming Lumiere place. We will definitely return the next time we're in town.

Been going here for almost a decade, they have very friendly staff and good security, for those of us who like to bring the girls out for a dinner and a drink that's very important to feel safe. The slots are pretty nice, not the best I've seen, but they make up for it on the tables, overall good time and experience with other card players. They have a buffet and a really clean nice bar as well as a pretzel resterant for families. A nice clean cafe and a couple fancy restaurants and clean rooms, very important! It's a nice place to go to for concerts in the summer time as they have an amphitheater and a whole list of great bands that every year.

We have visited numerous casinos in several states, but never to a Hollywood. We signed up for the players card and were surprisingly told no new sign up free play. The machines were quite stingy. A big mix of new and older machines. The five in our group couldn't get a win. We decided the better bet was to try the restaurant. The food was good. The prices fair and a massive amount of craft beers. The rooms were clean and spacious, though our view was of the parking structure. Plenty of USB jacks for charging. Coffee in room. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice.

We went to the club, Boogie Nights, at the Hollywood casino. The experience was really good. We had a good time at the club, the drinks were really good (a little expensive for us though). The casino looked fun and we will definitely be back. The valets were very nice and accomodating, but we waited quite a while for our car - we didn't realize that we had to swipe our valet ticket for them to retrieve our car. We didn't see a sign so we waited and waited, intil finally one of rhe guys asked us if we needed help. Otherwise, it was a good time!

Took my wife for a romantic Valentines night out... Things started out rocky as soon as we arrived. Room was supposed to be ready for check-in at 4:00, but it wasn't ready until 7:00. We had to check our bags and wait.... I complained and they gave us $25 for drinks while we waited. One of the things we both noticed as soon as we entered the Hotel was the smell of cigarette smoke, and it only got worse as we walked closer to the Casino. I guess it’s my bad for not checking into this more before hand, but not being smokers this really caught my wife and I off guard. We had dinner at Charlie Gitto's and thank goodness it was great. Food, service, atmosphere was all good. Even though we are not typically gamblers we decided to go try our luck. Again the smell of smoke reeked through-out the entire establishment. They do have a couple no-smoking areas; however you must endure a smelly walk to get there. After some gambling and actually winning a little we finally checked into our rooms. The room was clean, but starting to show its age. Some of the wall paper was peeling back, lights in the bathroom did not work and again everything reeked of smoke. I called the front desk to ensure that we had a non-smoking room as requested and supposedly it was. We tried to convince ourselves that it was not that bad; however we both could not wait to check out the next morning. As we were leaving our hotel room, we encountered trash down the hall ways, the trash cans by the elevator where overflowing, and there was cigarette butts on the floor of the elevators. To summarize – Dinner at Charlie Gitto’s was great, Hotel and Casino was not for us. Seriously doubt that we will ever return to this establishment, even if the room was free. Very disappointing Valentines, except for dinner.

Our experience at the casino and restaurants were all very good, especially since we walked away +$450. The hotel on the other hand...as soon we we got out of the elevator there was a trash can overflowing with trash. Chicken bones and and bottle of chew spit. The carpet was nearly as bad with cigarette butts and food crumbs. I didn't think much of it at first, probably just a messy guest. But ut was still there the next morning and even at 11 am when we were leaving. Besides that everything was nice. The room was clean and pleasant, food was good, etc.

Upper management has no sense of what is going on. Security thinks that they are in charge of the entire business. Have low level individuals handling high net worth customers. Gives Hollywood Casino a bad name. No style of how to run a casino by this group. Tried to complain and they hung up on me. There is a reason why this Casino is rated so low.

So there were pros and cons. The casino was nice, and I enjoyed the small amount of time we spent gambling. The poker staff was average. However our hotel experience was not the greatest. When we arrived the room key system was down and they were requiring bell hops to take you up to your room and let you in, however you still did not have a key. It wasn't until several hours later that I went down to the front desk and they were able to finally make me a key. This hotel is also right in the middle of no where. We ventured out for food a couple times and ended up driving quite a ways before finding anything. I will say that the Buffet was VERY good for a casino. Very fresh and tons of higher end options. Next time I'm in town I will choose to stay elsewhere which is disappointing because our rooms i always free at Hollywood properties.
