Nothing special. Not that friendly, just a place with a jukebox. I asked the bouncer if there was a band playing and he ignored me and asked for my ID. I would not have gone in if I knew it was just the jukebox playing. My life is not really improved in any way by going to this place.

My lovely Friend and I returned to the Broken Record on Monday to check out the food selection now that the previous chefs have started Ricky Bobby in the lower Haight. I had one of the very best Reuben sandwiches ever. The food to me is just as good as it ever was.

Inconspicuous one-aisle bar in the heart of re-imagined Hollywood. Strong drinks, a friendly vibe, and 50 year soundtrack of rock music (did I really know all the words to "Gimme Three Steps?!") make this the perfect after-movie or after-dinner stop without the maddening crowds up the block.

If you need to read a review to decide if you should go here it may not be the place for you. It's a dive bar with a lot of rock n roll types as customers. Everyone is super friendly and the drinks are good. Since Loaded closed down this has become one of the major hang outs of the rock scene in Hollywood. If you like rock music you should be there drinking Jack and beers....get going!
