Gold N' Silver Inn

Gold n Silver had some of the best food I have ever ate out! When we went the restaurant was packed. We ordered two bowls of clam chowder and garlic bread. "That chowder was some of the best I've had in a long time" - my Grandma. I also thought it was very good, the bread was fresh and are meal came very quickly even when packed. We had a nice booth next to the window and enjoyed our meal. Staff was very friendly and did an excellent job. I wanted a Gold n Silver trucker style hat so bad but needed to save money. Next time I'm in Reno, which won't be for a long time hopefully but I am definitely going back and getting me a hat and some of that really good food! Also the prices were very good for Reno, not too expensive and it reminded me of home. The menue had a lot of items to order too which I liked.

Gold N' Silver Inn

Comfortable, friendly place with great old-school customer service and delicious, real food: tri-tip, Reuben sandwiches, cod fish dinner, rib-eye steak dinner, asparagus fries, fried chicken, lemonade pork chops -- I've had it all (!) and portions are very generous and price is right for all the tasty food you get. I can eat alone there and I feel safe and comfortable. It's come-as-you-are real American fare. I can see why the Gold & Silver Inn was featured on Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives! A Reno landmark with old-fashioned restaurant values I remember from the 1960's.

Gold N' Silver Inn

My honeybunny and I were drawn into the Gold-N-Silver because it's was neither a chain nor a casino; we're burned out on casino food as it's gotten pricier and lower quality. The ambiançe is seriously 1970s; think "Rockford Files". The staff are friendly and welcoming and patient, and weather questions with grace and good humor. The menu (avail online) is worthy of a museum exhibit on comfort foods. I went with the chicken fried steak; HB chose pancakes with chocolate stuff. We shared. Portions were huge, everything arrived just as ordered, looked good, and tasted even better. The coffee kept flowing without our needing to beg; thank you, thank you. The wait staff were excellent, courteous, enthusiastic about the restaurant and the food, and make me look forward to my next trip through Reno.

One of my favorite places for breakfast in town. Has that "old Reno" feel. Nice staff, great food. Highly recommended!

Gold N' Silver Inn

Gold and silver is adequate American diner fare but over priced. Lately there have been too many drug addicts and hookers hanging out in the gaming area. And worse you have to be buzzed into their restrooms. The place is going downhill fast because they don't police the premises.

Gold N' Silver Inn

Very good food. As diners go, the service is relatively prompt, and the breakfast choices are generous and authentic. A great laid-back choice for locals.

Gold N' Silver Inn

Absolutely love the Gold N Silver a long time local favorite. We visited on a late night service was amazing as well as the food. My boyfriend finished the 1 lb burger and my turkey burger was by far the best I ever had. The chef even came out to greet us and shockingly verify he finished the whole thing. I highly recommend them you won't be dissapointed.

Had a great dinner with friends. I really enjoyed the Shepherds Pie; tasty filling with deliciously hot mashed potatoes on top! The cherry pie was warm, with whipped cream! Lovely waitress, homey atmosphere.

Gold N' Silver Inn

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, and when you go inside, it looks like the whole place could use a remodeling. Once you sit down and look at the menu, it doesn't look like much. My wife and I only came here because it had been on Diners, Drive ins, and Drive's. I ordered one of the sandwiches that Guy Fieri had eaten, and it was good, not great. Ordered the bread pudding for dessert, and it was good, not great. Nothing really special in my opinion, but supposedly popular with the locals. Their barbecue sauces are pretty good though.

Gold N' Silver Inn

I'm new to Reno and have been sampling the local flavors. I almost skipped this place because it has less than four stars. When you first walk in the décor is a testifies to the fact that this is the oldest family owned restaurant in Reno. It was nearly empty at 7:30 but it's quickly filling up as I enjoy the tri-tip sandwich "featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". The wait staff are attentive and friendly. Ambiance aside - 5 stars.

Gold N' Silver Inn

Locals have loved this place since 1956! Servers are long time employees who generally remember your name or face. Food is predictable and comforting though there are definately stay aways. . .And the hours are 24.

Gold N' Silver Inn

I’ve now visited the Gold 'N Silver Inn three times and been completely disappointed each time. Generally the service is OK – the waiters and waitresses are friendly. That’s by far the best part of this place. The food is bland and poorly presented. Everything about the place is cheap – except the prices. I really don’t understand how they’re still in business. If you enjoy paying $10 for $4 worth of greasy food, you’ll love this place. I highly suggest you walk across the street to the Gold Dust West casino – better food and bigger portions for the same or lower price.
