This place was clean, relatively modern and the bar tender was awesome... The place was clean, and it was cool.... Like temperature cool. This might seem trivial but in Virginia City in 2018 Air Conditioning is a luxury (yea I know, they're still living like its 1890 in this town when it comes to AC). I could have sat here all day and talked with the bar tender and the guests.. Just a really great place to stop and get a drink..

Food was delicious! I ordered the French dip and it was stuffed with meat. Side order of Cole slaw. The Cole slaw was spicy with bits of chopped jalapeno peppers! It was a good flavor that I was iffy about, but it was yummy. My hubby ordered the pastrami sandwich and that stuffed with pastrami if you're a meat lover and side Cole slaw. You get your money's worth and flavorful foods.

Virginia City! Loved the town. You felt like you were stepping back in time in the saloon. The bar was beautiful! Drinks were reasonable. Server was friendly.

LONG wait for service. Six of us were seated quickly in saloon and given menus. But service went downhill from then. Requested water pitcher from four different people before receiving. Sandwiches were good and VERY filling. Large house salad also very filling. Four of five toilets in woman's BR would not flush.

We went in off season at lunch and got fairly poor service. The ambiance was nice but two middle-aged ladies who were waiting on tables were obviously grumpy. Irritated at small requests. And our dining hall was only half full. Food was decent. But the bad attitudes threw my lunch off a bit. Probably won't go back. The bartender was great tho. Maybe we just picked the wrong side to eat in. It also took 45min to get 2 burgers. And they started turning people away after we were seated, so it can't have been getting busier for them. My burger came with a long black hair, and they were kind enough to not charge me for it and threw on a free desert.

Nice place for lunch. Very, very simple menu. Only a handful of items. Sliders, soups and a couple other items. The surrounding is very attractive. Historic setting with large meeting rooms (great for weddings, business meetings).

Good was excellent, large portions at a reasonable price (for a tourist place). I had the Philly cheese steak, my friends had the soup in a bread bowl. Yummy.

Made a trip to Virginia City and stopped in The Delta Saloon for lunch. They had great food and had a lot of the old machines which are always nice to see. I will definitely go again!!

One of the only restaurant's open for dinner was the Delta Saloon's Sawdust Corner Restaurant. We tried the new summer dinner menu which was more than just fast food items. A loaf of sourdough bread hot out of the oven was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with the aroma of sourdough peaking your senses. Dinners are served with your choice of soup or salad. The salad was larger than expected. The ranch dressing tasted homemade with rich buttermilk flavor. The bleu cheese was more like Roquefort with minimal bleu cheese chunks and a bit on the sour side. Duck a la Orange was beautifully sliced and presented with grilled zucchini and a giant baked potato. Although our server did not ask me the temperature I wanted it cooked at, the duck was cooked to a medium rare and tender. The skin could have been crispier by scoring the skin and to render some of the fat underneath the skin. The sauce was magnificent with balanced sweet and savory flavors. The baked potato was okay. The first one was not done with a hard and gritty texture. The second one was much better, but could have used another 15 minutes in the oven for a soft, fluffy interior. Rating: 4/5 Grilled Venison was also beautifully presented with grilled zucchini and mashed potatoes. The server did not ask my husband how he wanted it cooked. The venison was cooked to an uneven medium temperature. It was flavorful but dry in some parts. If it was cooked to a rare or medium rare, it would have been perfect. The sauce with its sweet tones, paired perfectly with the venison. The mashed potatoes were great with a course smash to let you know that they were made in-house. Rating: 4/5
